Hello everyone! We’re excited to share the details of the latest World of Guns update! 1. Improved X-Ray and Click’n’Hide Shaders We have improved the shaders used in the X-Ray and Click’n’Hide modes. Models now have more depth and look better in both modes. We have also reduced the unpleasant overexposure that could occur in Click’n’Hide when a large number of parts were hidden — especially in models with many components, such as machine guns. 2. Improved HD Interface We have improved the interface for monitors with resolutions higher than Full HD (1920×1080). After the update, ×2 UI scaling will be enabled automatically on these displays, and all interface elements will be shown at a higher resolution. - NEW MODEL GOES INTO PRODUCTION: KS-23 RIOT GUN - 29 August 2026
Many of you may also recognize the KS-23 from Escape from Tarkov, where it has become one of the game’s most recognizable shotguns. The KS-23 won our recent community vote, so we are now putting it into production! Interestingly, all KS-23 ammunition is of the “shotgun” type, using paper shells with metal bases. - Top Secret Release: The TKB-506 Cigarette Case Gun - 28 May 2026
We are glad to release a special surprise for you! The TKB-506 was created at the request of the KGB for special operations. It is a pistol disguised as a cigarette case, holding only 3 shots. Reloading was designed to be performed strictly in non-combat situations. Another fascinating feature of this weapon is its SP-2 ammunition. It operates on the same principles as the SP-4 cartridge used in the PSS "Vul" (which you can also check out in the game). After a shot is fired, all powder gases are sealed inside the cartridge case under high pressure. This piston-cut-off system is exactly why this weapon is so incredibly quiet. Here is a quick update on what we are currently working on and what you can expect to see soon: Pecheneg Machine Gun – Texturing is currently in progress. Bechowiec-1 SMG – We’ve made great progress with the animations; the Operation and Disassembly/Assembly modes are very close to completion. A Special Surprise for WOG Users! A brand-new model will be released next week: the TKB-506.
