- Under The Hood #5 – Behind the New Branding - 4 August 2026
Dear Drivers,A few months ago, we refreshed the visual identity of Drive Beyond Horizons. This included a brand-new logo, a complete overhaul of our Steam page visuals, updated marketing assets, and a more consistent visual identity across every platform where the game is presented. We thought it would be interesting to take a step back and highlight the work our artists have done behind the scenes. Today is the perfect opportunity to show you a little more of the creative process behind this redesign.Disclaimer: We'd like to address something we've seen mentioned a few times. Work on the game's visual identity does not slow down development in any way. Artists and graphic designers are not the people programming gameplay features, fixing bugs, or developing new content. Updating the game's branding happens in parallel with development and doesn't take resources away from it.A New Logo f…

- Drive Beyond Horizons 2026 Roadmap (Updated) - 22 January 2026
Hey, hello Drivers! The year 2025 marked a major milestone for Drive Beyond Horizons with the game entering Early Access on Steam in March. While we released numerous hotfixes and patches to address critical bugs and improve performance, the game remains a work in progress, and we’ve been upfront about the need to rebuild some core systems in parallel to create a more stable and solid foundation.Beyond technical updates, 2025 was a year of growth for our team. What began as a small project of just four people has expanded to nearly thirty contributors, including developers, artists, communicators, and producers, all working together to shape the world of DBH. The journey is still long, but every fix, update, and feature moves us closer to the experience we envision. It’s all thanks to you, our community, that we keep pushing forward. Your support, patience, and feedback have been invalua…
- Under The Hood #2 - The Garage Update - 9 December 2025
Hello Drivers! Back in September, and recently again, we said the Garage was coming “soon” and we clearly underestimated how ambitious the feature would become.Once the team started working on it, they kept adding more ideas than planned. One thing led to another and they got a bit carried away exploring new features. It wasn’t ideal for the schedule, but it came from genuine creativity pushing the Garage further than expected. With that in mind, and with the holidays getting closer, the update will most likely arrive in early 2026. Releasing such a major feature this close to the end of the year wouldn’t give us enough time to test it properly or to react quickly with a hotfix if needed.Since it’s taking longer than expected, here’s a small spoiler to make the wait a little easier.ReminderSome early development choices created technical challenges we did not fully anticipate. As a remin…
