You've met the water dragon, the fire dragon and the earth dragon — here's how the electric one came together, from the first color tests to the model that's now standing in the engine next to his siblings.1. First Concepts ✏️Every dragon starts from his element, and the element sets the silhouette, the palette and the personality all at once. Electricity was quite tricky to pin down, because lightning is a shape more than a color — so we tested a lot of both.First a wide pass on palettes and glow, all with the same question underneath: which combination reads as "electric" without turning him into a warning sign?Then we tried making the lightning part of his anatomy instead of an effect stuck on top — crests, wings and tails shaped like arcs, bolts and sparks.2.   Hi everyone! Last time we walked you through the water dragon, from the first rough sketch to the little guy watering your garden beds. Today it's the fire dragon's turn 🔥 and this one gave us a problem we didn't expect...1. The Problem: How do you make fire cozy? 🤔Dragon Shelter has one rule we never break: nothing in this game destroys anything. You build, you restore, you heal. So a dragon whose whole element is burning things was a design puzzle before it was an art task.Our answer was to make his fire always leave something behind. He burns weeds, and you get ash, which becomes fertilizer. He warms a garden bed, and plants that would never survive the cold start to grow. He lights the forge, and a blacksmith who hasn't touched an anvil in years finally goes back to work.That single decision shaped everything else: the silhouette, the palette, the VFX, even the way he sits.   Hi everyone! The water dragon is the first dragon you meet in Dragon Shelter, and the first one we ever built. Here's the road he took from a rough sketch to the little guy watering your garden beds. 1.
