- The demo for Grail is out now! - 15 April 2026
Hello everyone! We've just released the demo for our new game, Grail! It's a fantasy deckbuilder where your deck fights for you!Travel through the woods, upgrade your deck, find synergies and sharpen your strategy. Take on foes in pitched card battles that play out automatically before your eyes. At the end of each day you’ll test your deck building prowess against another player. Stack wins together and climb your way from lowly blade-for-hire to a master of the auto-battling arts! We've been working on Grail for a bit more than a year now, and we're very excited to finally share it with you! The demo has 1 character, but more than 200 cards and over 80 traits. The full game will have even more, and will release some time this summer!Much love,Sokpop
- Fixed a couple of bugs! - 5 October 2024
Hey everyone! Thank you all so much for checking out my game! I’ve seen a lot of very nice reviews already and it makes me happy that you seem to be enjoying it! :) I just uploaded a new build that should fix a couple of issues: Fixed a potential run-killer that would appear when you would enter the strange hallway after obtaining the small idol. Fixed an issue where the player would spawn in some sort of empty void after going to bed on Sunday. Fixed an issue where it would still be raining after starting a new run. Put back a fence behind the cornfield, I don’t know where it went but it’s back now. Made sure you are not able to fall off the ferry anymore. Made sure that the darkness also closes in on you when you enter the strange hallway or hedge maze area, causing players to get lost in darkness forever there. Implemented a failsafe that should always unlock the content you get when…
- Grunn is out today! - 4 October 2024
Very happy to announce that Grunn is launching today on PC! This has been a labour of love of mine for almost two years, and I’m very happy and proud to see it going out into the world. The garden and the surrounding town are a recreation of my own father’s house and neighbourhood in the Dutch countryside. I've also had a lot of fun adding secrets, easter eggs and hidden pathways for the curious minded! Without giving too much away, I will say that there are multiple ways to finish this game. If you roll credits too early, consider going back and trying again :) Thank you so much to everyone who has shown me encouragement and support throughout the development process. I hope you enjoy the game! Sincerely, Tom from Sokpop
- Not normal at all, don’t let it lie to you gardening game Grunn is out now - 4 October 2024
I’m usually a little suspicious of anything that winkingly describes itself as “very normal”. It’s got Mental Baz energy to me. You’ve met mental Baz, right? He’s mental, he is! Has half a lemonade shandy with lunch sometimes, and wears one of those t-shirts that look like a tuxedo. Absolute mentalist! Anyway, after reviewing Grunn last week it’s thankfully far more interesting and creative than poor old Baz, who’s honestly just a bit shy and actually really nice when you get past the facade. Grunn just released today, and my high level tempter is that it’s a little bit like Outer Wilds , just with all the touching wonder replaced by spooky whimsy. Here’s a trailer: Read more
- We have a release date for Grunn! - 20 September 2024
Hi everyone. Developer Tom here :) And I bring good news! My game Grunn is launching on PC via Steam on October 4th!! We made the announcement today at the Fantastic Games Fest in Austin. Here is the trailer: As a reminder, Grunn is a game about gardening, and it is normal. Trim the grass, water the flowers, pick up trash, and of course enjoy the lovely scenery of the dutch countryside. Maybe you feel like you’re being watched, but that’s probably your imagination, right? Oh and don’t forget to trim the hedges! Another cool thing: The Grunn demo won the Digital Moment Award at this year’s A MAZE fest! Woah! Thanks again to everyone who has shown their support for Grunn since the announcement, I am very excited to see you all experiencing the full game in a few weeks! Happy gardening
- Small patch: added some new settings! - 12 June 2024
A couple people reported that they got dizzy and/or nauseous when playing Grunn, so I added some new settings: Wobbly effect: Toggles on/off the effect that makes everything slightly move & appear dreamy/wobbly. Pixel smoothing: Toggles on/off the fuzzy smoothing effect of pixels. Pixel scale: You can increase this to make the game appear less chunky, more smooth. Font type: Added 2 new fonts that are hopefully a bit more legible, please feel free to let me know if this helps, I can always add more fonts! You can find all of these new settings in the title screen or when pausing the game, under 'settings'. Some other things you can try against getting dizzy (also in settings): Increase the field of view. Decrease the color shift value. One other thing: There were also reports of the game looking incredibly fuzzy and weirdly low-res on ultra wide monitors, and I believe I've also fixed t…
- It's time for some very normal gardening! - 8 June 2024
It's time to start gardening! Let's cut some grass, trim some hedges, water some flowers... and look for a worm? A free demo of Grunn is playable here: http://s.team/a/2720950 Grunn is a very normal gardening game. You’ve been hired to work on a garden deep in the Dutch countryside. There’s plenty to do: trim the grass, water the flowers, pick up trash, and of course enjoy the lovely scenery. Except… Most of your tools are missing. The owner isn’t around. Going out after dark is forbidden. And no matter where you go, you can't escape the sense you're being watched. You have until Monday to complete the job. Good luck!

- Deeply unusual gardening game Grunn’s shear snip deserves every award Geoff Keighley has ever invented - 4 June 2024
I usually avoid writing sentences that could easily be quoted on a Steam page, but the exquisitely satisfying sound that Grunn ’s garden shears make is the exception. Please feel free to try any of these on for size: Grunn’s shear sound is the Wilhelm Scream of gardening equipment, sure to be referenced for decades to come. Grunn’s shear sound wormed its way past my eyes and into parts of my brain I’d previously assumed could only be accessed by either masterful ASMR or irresponsibly long Q-tips. I used to have anxiety, but now, my only fear in life is that Grunn’s grass will run out, so I no longer have a reason to click away with its shears. Play Grunn, innit. There are, by the way, lots of other things to like about it, although I cannot hear them over the wonderful sound of these shears. Read more
