• Critical update for uncontrolled fishers! - 5 May 2025

  Critical update to fix normal chatters being given elevated permissions - incorrectly allowing them to fish with a chat message even though the chat trigger is disabled, multicast, and cast on behalf of other users. This should all be fixed now! Special thanks to everyone on the discord who helped me debug this one

• Urgent Update: Connection Issues - 7 April 2025

  Hi everyone, new update to resolve the ongoing connection issues is now live! If you're having connection issues, please update to the latest version. In a related note, due to some complications with Twitch's new API on my end, the feature to send chat messages from a secondary chatbot account has been temporarily disabled. I'm working on fixing the issue ASAP and any LurkBait chat messages will still send from your main account in the meantime. I'll be monitoring the situation closely over the next few days and continue making updates to keep things running as smoothly as I can. Apologies for any inconvenience and happy fishing!

Search bar in Custom Catches panel and Add New button is now much easier to access at the top Support for secondary account login to post chat messages from Brand new Custom Catches editor UI which now looks much closer to your final catch Support for pixel art! Now any Custom Catch images smaller than 65 pixels will now look nice and crisp You can now completely customize the chat message that posts a users catch to chat New chat commands to control LurkBait, check the Settings panel or the BLAM.cam website for a list of the new commands Critical bug-fixes for corrupted save data, LurkBait will now backup save data after every action and will automatically recover from backups if any corruption occurs.   Minor bugs and improvements! Thanks everyone for everyone for your continued support, this is relatively minor update with some important bug fixes and improvements to the bot integration systems. Boosting rares is now recorded for each queued cast when cast is first queued, not when the cast actually happens. The mute button state is now saved when opening / closing the app. For the nerds: the save data is now pretty formatted JSON to make it easier to read. Streamer.bot actions dropdown is now a much better experience. Thumbnail URL field is now fixed. Add new data fields to events, including catchAlertLevel and isNew. Fixed some bugs with the Streamer.bot integration and the UI.   Streamer.bot is here! Steamer.Bot integration! Special thanks to MeepsKitten for making it happen. Some special new achievements! You can now delete players from the data with a command, see a list of new commands in the settings panel. New command to toggle rare fishing boosting. New command to reset the leaderboard. A few more bugs shooed away. Dex and leaderboard should automatically close after 30s of inactivity if the auto-scroll has been interrupted Fixed bug where editing a Custom Catch showed the incorrect rarity initially, thanks to user Balance for pointing this one out. Performance improvements. Now automically scales the resolution down if opened on a monitor too small to fit the LurkBait window. UI improvements. • Game breaking bugs now shooed away! v1.0.2 is here! - 17 March 2024

  Huge thankyou to everyone who helped me out with bugs and feedback, this update fixes some critical sometimes game breaking bugs. Apologies to anyone affected by any downtime, this should get you all up and running! Reset leaderboard now works as expected! Top catches and gold earned now only includes catches that were caught after the last time the “Reset Leaderboard” button was pressed. All the streamers running tourneys rejoice! I see you 👀 Test casts are now no longer included in your total gold, the leaderboards, or the dex. If you want to fish with your chatroom, use one of your regular cast triggers! Numerous and sometimes game-breaking bugs have been fixed with the custom catches system. The game now has many fail-safes in the place for corrupted data and now prevents invalid characters from being entered in catch names. Anybody currently experiencing crashes or custom catches…

• Quick leaderboard bugfix! - 25 February 2024

  A huge thank you to everybody who has purchased, reviewed, tweeted, and shared LurkBait, this launch has been so amazing so far thanks entirely to all of YOU! Thanks everyone who alerted me to an issue crashing the game when users fish during the leaderboard screen. This should be fixed now! I've also added a different (!) icons for epic and legendary catches. There's a few exciting new features coming soon based off of your suggestions so keep an eye out!
