Short description
Head Chef is a restaurant management game. Supply the kitchen, select your staff, overcome challenges, create a delicious menu and… cook! Make your guests happy and find your way to the stars. Keep control of your team and finances, because the higher you climb, the harder you fall.
About this game
Open your restaurant and lead it to success. Create your menu by selecting what dishes to serve. Supply the kitchen accordingly if you do not want to run out of ingredients during service! You can do it yourself, or you can hire a supply manager. Open the doors of your restaurant and start cooking! Cut, blend, grill, bake and fry ingredients: elevate them to make fantastic dishes. Plate the food and bring it to the delivery counter, where waiters will pick it up. Be fast! Guests are not willing to wait forever and may walk out of the restaurant. Line cooks are there to help you, but they also make mistakes. Supervise, coordinate and motivate them! It will take the right combination of carrot and stick to get the best out of your team. Get ready to be challenged by other Chefs and to display your cooking skills in a 1vs1 Cook-off culinary fight. Impress the audience to earn visibility and improve your reputation. Prepare delicious desserts in the pastry laboratory. Don't make too many - you want to serve only fresh and tasty cakes to your guests. A pastry chef may help you discover new recipes and will keep your restaurant well-stocked. Hire waiters and line cooks, you cannot run a restaurant all by yourself. Select your personnel wisely by checking both technical and moral skills. Assign cooks to the proper station, depending on their capabilities and your needs in the kitchen. Soft skills influence how they react to unexpected events and to your discipline. Experience affects performance, while morale affects loyalty. It is easy to find good workers, it is harder to keep them. Hire an HR manager if you do not want to deal with all of that… but delegating it all may hide pitfalls. Get your finances in order, running a restaurant is a difficult business and must be profitable too. If you need a cash injection, you can look for partners or for a loan. Fast food, casual or fine dining, no matter what style you pick, the final aspiration of any chef is to run a starred restaurant. Quality and consistency will get you VIP guests, that will boost your reputation and allow you to be visited by an inspector… but nobody knows when this will happen! Every event…
