Short description
An emotional journey about death, family and acceptance. Step into this thrilling narrative driven Action-RPG to experience an exciting combat system and a story tackling deep themes.
About this game
A compelling narrative about death You play Messorem, a graveyard reaper. Your job is simple, guide the souls of the dead to eternal rest. After many years of the same job, Messorem starts to wonder if there is more to their life. Messorem stops doing their job and the souls no longer have someone to guide them to rest. One day a woman named Mallory arrives at the cemetary with her deceased son. In exchange for putting her son's soul to rest Messorem can finally get eternal rest themselves. To put the son to rest however, Messorem must gather his family for the funeral. The only problem is, the family is spread apart and the roads are filled with the frenzied spirits Messorem have neglected. To gather the family, Messorem must travel across the land and put all souls to rest. Magical combat arenas! Once combat is initiated, an arena is created from the element used to initiate the fight. Each arena has its own effects that can both affect the player and the enemy! Messorem's combat utilizes both melee combat and a ranged magic system. Each spell has their own effect and based on a rock, paper, scissors system connected to their own element. Wield nature's magic and choose the correct spell to put the frienzied souls to rest! Puzzles! To get an audience with some of the family members, you must complete a puzzle related to their personality. So get your dance shoes on and get ready to impress! Music by SHINE! The soon-to-be music phenomenon SHINE provides the music with the «Sounds From The Afterlife - Concept Album For Messorem». The norwegian 8-piece delivers an astounding 65+ minutes of live orchestrated music that paints the world of the game with a magical assortment of sounds, genre-variety and instrumentation. SHINE brings the action and drama to new levels with the two vocal-tracks «The Final Hour» and «Shimmer». From blistering speed-metal to folky J-pop undertones, the band delivers audible spectacle like no first-time Indie game has ever seen (or in this case heard) before.
