- Patch v1.0.6 - Future plans and bugfixes - 18 July 2024
Fellow gnome-lovers, We see your complaints about the performance, so we are planning to do an optimization update soon! We're working on another game which will be available in August. After that, we can get to Gnomber and do a large rewrite of the physics system which will address all the FPS and lag issues. We will also do some balancing, quality-of-life changes and settings for graphics and input mapping. Expect a big update in September. This patch is just a quick fix for some urgent problems: Disabled vsync on all systems. We will add a vsync option to the game this week, but since lots of people have been getting FPS drops, this is a quick fix that can improve it for some. Lowered limits to some level up perks like Ball Magic and Morning Star. They were too overpowered for both the game balance and your CPU when you had 16 of each, spawning hundreds of particles per second. Fix G…
- Patch v1.0.5 - Minor bugfixes - 28 May 2024
Small update for today. Here is what we added: Pickups spawned outside of the level will automatically start homing towards the player. No more frustration over pickups being thrown outside of the level edges! Fix some achievements not being set when quitting the game before dying Happy gnombing!
- Patch v1.0.4 - Announcement and bugfixes - 16 May 2024
Fellow Gnombers, We are reading your feedback and working on improving the game. We heard your complaints about performance and frustrating gameplay elements so we fixed some of them and are actively working on fixing the rest in the coming patches! Here is what we added in this patch: Pickups like exp drops, bombs and shrooms no longer fall out of the bordered play area. New game loop code, which should be less buggy on high refresh rate screens and on slow computers should increase performance by 1-2fps. It ain't much, but it's honest work. Steam would sometimes not be recognized during launch and as a result, your achievements did not show up in the steam client. This has been fixed. Just boot into the game and all your achievements which you should have earned will show up at once. We appreciate all your feedback, because it helps us improve the game, so keep them coming. Happy gnom…
- Patch v1.0.3 - Minor bugfixes - 12 May 2024
We fixed two more goblin-related bugs in the game. Goblins summoned by the Gnoblin character would cause more crashes from time to time (unrelated to previous crash which was fixed in v1.0.2) Friendly goblins (they just keep coming back with more bugs!) no longer chase after seemingly invisible enemies. They would sometimes go psycho and start running after an imaginary enemy. Happy gnombing!
- Patch v1.0.2 - Bugfixes - 6 May 2024
Dear gnombers, As bugs come up, we slowly squish them. Here's some stuff we fixed in this patch: Unplugging the joystick would crash the game in menus Unplugging or changing the joystick/gamepad would incorrectly unpause the game Fixed a bug where summoning friendly goblins as the Gnoblin character would cause an instant crash As always, thanks for the bug reports!
- Patch v1.0.1 - Bugfixes - 30 April 2024
Dear gnombers, In this patch we fixed the following problems: The bootup sound effect was too loud. Lowered the volume by a significant amount. Fixed a bug where having friendly Goblins sometimes crashed the game. Fixed a crash caused by the achievements module. Thank you for your bug reports and reviews. We appreciate all input, it helps us know what to improve/change for the future. Keep them coming!
