• TransmuTowers Launched! - 11 March 2026

  Hey Everybody,TransmuTowers has now officially launched! Over the next few weeks we'll be adjusting the game based on feedback and fixing any bugs that somehow slipped through. We'll also add new languages from any our of volunteer community members. If you run into any issues, letting us know on Discord will allow us to fix it the quickest.Additionally, within the next two months, we'll be releasing a free patch to add 1 more level, 2 more towers, and the completion of the story. Thanks to everyone who helped with development in anyway and to all of you who purchase the game!

• TransmuTowers Steam Next Fest Demo Released - 13 October 2025

  Hey everyone! It's been awhile as we've been heads down trying to make sure we can deliver the best possible experience for the Steam Next Fest. You can now play two stages with 6 bosses. You'll be able to unlock 10 towers and a couple dozen upgrades. The full game will have 3x the content and a host of changes from feedback provided during this tests. Be careful though! This game isn't easy by any means and it make take both wits and luck to push through both of the stages (or a bit of farming). We're excited to be able to go so public with the game and can't wait to hear what everyone thinks!

  Hi all, We have been working hard in the past couple of months and finally breaking the radio silence to bring you news about what we have been cooking so far.   Gameplay You can now level up towers to get unique visuals and effects Enemy types increased from 3 -> 7, Bosses with Special Abilities added to the game You can now play as Penny Bun with unique effects. There are now towers in the game that can buff other towers There are now findable objects in the level that can give powerful auras to your towers Gathering resources have been revamped. Buildings now autogather resources around the map instead of producing their own. • July 2024 Dev Log Update - 6 August 2024

  This month! - Due to playtest feedback we'll be focusing on making strategy and counters of enemies more dynamic in the coming months. - Additionally we are trying to add variance from run-to-run - Upgrades are too strong so we will tune them down in future playtest (note: They are intentionally cheap for playtests right now since we want people to experience the full game in a short 1-2hr time period) Gameplay - We've added the ability to move your towers. Your player can only pickup and move one tower at a time. This is to add strategic depth in how you spend your time. Additionally it allows a more reactive gameplay style to bosses by moving important towers in their path. • June 2024 Dev Log Update - 26 June 2024

  This month! - We've started our first friends and family playtest. Currently it includes 1 level, 2 characters, 4 enemies, and a bunch of towers and upgrades. - We've created level 2 & 3 and started developing the UI to not just be basic boxes. - Gameplay: We've moved towards around 12 towers and revamped the early Towers to get them to the quality level we can support. - Narrative: First story implemented, second story close to being implemented. Updated our Visual Novel code to support our writers better. - Creative: We've concepted and starting modeling up to about tower 16. We've also brainstormed out about 50 possible towers and dozens of particle effects to choose the best from. - Engineering: A lot of performance improvements for resources and particles.   Just wanted to drop some quick information for those waiting! - First Playtest: Our first internal full team multiplayer playtest was this month. It went "ok." Definitely some bugs to fix but overall was pretty performant with 0 crashes. - Family Playtest Soon: We'll be rolling out to our families this week or next to get some feedback on if the game makes sense. - Cel-Shading: We've transitioned over to a cel-shading look for the 3D models to better blend with the 2D sprites. - Creative: We've finished about 10 towers (40 desired for v1.0) and about 8 enemies (20-30 desired for v1.0). - Gameplay: We've got most of the attributes done, upgrades, game loop, saving, multiplayer, and character select done. - Narrative: The world building & character design are primarily finished with the first story getting added to the game shortly. - Engineering: Playtest uploaded to Steam and awaiting a…
