• Version 2.0.1 Update - 25 March 2026

  Greetings, players. We have released a new update focusing on critical stability improvements to ensure your journey through Gensokyo is as smooth as possible. This update addresses two major game-breaking crashes that were recently identified. We highly recommend all players update to this version immediately. Fixed an issue where the game would crash when attempting to load the options menu in-game. Fixed an egregious issue where attempting to enter a battle would cause a crash. Previously, the game relied on view_xview and view_yview to place the enter battle sequence; these variables were deprecated in the GameMaker engine and replaced with xview and yview. Thank you for your continued support as we refine the epic beginnings of the Federal Kingdom of Gensokyo. Good luck on your quest to find and slay the Scarlet Devil!

  First of all, you're probably thinking, "how did you get the source code back?" Well, the UndertaleModTool seemed to help bring back the missing pieces after that hard drive crash nearly a year and a half back. I managed to reconstruct things into a state that works. Please note, however, that not everything has been tested and you may be bound to run into potential issues.   Greetings, players. I hope you are doing well. We made an update to fix certain issues when characters are affected by status problems. Specifically, whenever a character is either asleep, frozen, or confused, their active time bar would continue running as usual. We have fixed this issue.   Hello, players. We hope you are doing well. There are only six days remaining until the release of Touhou Kourinden ~ Mythos of Phantasmagoria. Are you ready for the official release? We sure are. We made one more update to address an issue where the game would break when attempting to use either a Potion or an Ether on a fainted character. We hope you look forward to the official release.

• We're two weeks before release - 20 April 2024

  Greetings, players. I can't believe we're only two weeks away from the release of Touhou Kourinden ~ Mythos of Phantasmagoria. The achievements are already programmed into the game and are all working. Aside from patching a few last-minute bugs, we're all set and ready for May 3. However, we did make one significant change and that is the villainous group's name. If you have played the demo, you may recognize the villainous organization goes by the name of the Gensokyo Socialist Order. However, at the request of co-developer Studio Emiko, we were asked to change the name. The Order will go by the new name of the Gensokyo Socialite Order. A socialite is, by definition, any person or group of persons who hail from a wealthy and aristocratic background, spending most of their time attending social gatherings instead of being traditionally employed.
