  • Update 1.1 - 6 December 2024

It's been a few weeks since Yawnoc released and there's been a lot of useful feedback to work off of. The result of that is Update 1.1, which focuses primarily of quality of life improvements. There's also some new content thrown in for the fun of it. :) New: Added Mire weapon (shotgun-style) Added Ember weapon (bow-style) Added Compass upgrade that expands the minimap Added Storage upgrade that allows chest powerups to be stored until the next attack Added Cheer enchant that increases the firerate of other weapons Added markers to the edge of the minimap to indicate the direction of spawners/beacons/chests that are outside of the local minimap Added a single alternate item shop with 40% increased prices to every shopping phase Added controller d-pad support for menus Added options to adjust grass/tree visibility and motion Added an option to duplicate ability cooldowns below the player…

  • Steam Deck and MacOS Support Status - 13 November 2024

Yawnoc runs well on Steam Deck. The only known issue is that the controller input in desktop mode doesn't work. As long as the Steam Deck is in game mode, Yawnoc runs fine. (It's actually how I prefer to play Yawnoc.) MacOS is not currently supported, but the game may function with Wine or by running the source code that's included along with the game. There are a fair number of wishlisters who are using MacOS, so support may be added after release. Thanks for checking out Yawnoc! :D

  • Yawnoc Demo Update v0.2.14 - 17 October 2024

Demo patch v0.2.14 has been released! It's mostly quality of life stuff based on continued feedback, but the HighLife area has also been reworked. Here's the main list of changes: made the guiding arrow bigger for the early tutorials added options to pause menu reworked HighLife area with CRT-like shaders and new artwork (the effect can also be reduced/disabled in the settings) added a screenshake setting inverted main menu and try again options in the death menu for consistency fixed bugs

  • Yawnoc Demo Update - 14 October 2024

Demo patch v0.2.13 has been released to address many of the points of feedback from the demo players. Here's the main list of changes: improved movement physics for high speed situations made the first 2 waves consistent in pattern choice every run added a bunch of arrow guides for enchants, upgrades, and weapons to introduce the mechanics (you may run into these if you continue on an old save file. it'll give you one super cheap purchase of each type once per save file.) nerfed the beacon and gave it multiple attack patterns to improve difficulty scaling changed the death menu options made mid-screen notifications stack so multiple are visible at once increased "next wave" interaction range changed and restricted the upgrades available in the demo to include simpler upgrades changed the wave UI text to indicate that there are 10 waves per season added dragon's breath weapon added more…
