• Play the Spiritual Sequel to Stick 'Em Up 2 Right Now in the Steam Game Festival - 6 February 2021

  Hero Team is my brand new game that is the spiritual sequel to Stick 'Em Up 2. It's a side scrolling platformer-y shooter again, but now with online multiplayer for the first time, and with plans to be regularly updated with new content. You can play it right now and for the next few days with the demo version that is available as part of the Steam Game Festival. It's an early build so it's doesn't yet have niceties like actual artwork, but you can get a feel for the game and enjoy my "charmingly minimalistic" programmer art. Please go and check out the demo and wishlist the game right now so that you'll be the first to find out when it's released a bit later this year. I can't wait to hear what you think of it. • Native Steam Controller support added - 9 November 2015

  Hello. I've just released another Stick 'Em Up 2 update which adds full native support for Steam Controllers, just in time for their official release date on November 10. The controller configuration profiles that I talked about in the last announcement were using the mouse/keyboard/gamepad emulation mode of the controller, which is alright, but it had a few downsides: The major one was that only one player could control the pointer. With this new update every player using a Steam Controller gets their own pointer, and it's colored to match their body color so that you can easily tell which one belongs to which player. You can even have another player at the same time using the mouse and keyboard and they get their own pointer too. The other big advantage is that native support makes it much nicer to customize the configuration if you want to. In the emulation mode you have to bind the…

  Hello. I've just set up some official configurations for Steam Controllers. The default one makes the controller work a lot like a traditional controller, but with a couple of added extras like using the rear grip buttons to enter vehicles and change weapons so that you don't have to take your thumb off the aiming pad. One of the great features of the Steam Controller is that the pads are accurate enough that you can use them to control a pointer, and that's what the second 'Mouse Style' configuration option does. It allows for some very precise aiming. It definitely feels different and it might be my new favorite way of playing the game. If you don't have a Steam Controller yet here's a screenshot of the screen where you can change configurations.   Hello! I've just released an update with the three new levels promised earlier: Skyline Redux (enemy helicopters!) Headquarters (smashing up office furniture!) Corruption 2 (it's DIFFICULT, so take your time) (and the music on this level is my absolute favorite!) It also has fixes for a few bugs: Fixed multiplayer bug where you couldn't complete a level if any of the players lost all their lives (thank you Tacao2 for reporting that!) Fixed moon rover sometimes stopping dead for a moment, particularly after hard landings (thank you Dan for reporting that!) and fixed its wheels sometimes getting stuck underground Added missing props (like air conditioners and such) on the rooftops on Skyline Mac: Fixed game not responding to mouse clicks when window is dragged to a second screen and then put into fullscreen mode If it doesn't update automatically straight away then just restart Steam and…
