  • Small Glitch Fixes (Oroboros) - 4 October 2025

There was a very unfun bug with Oroboros' ability where his attack would not work after he lost a bubble shield. It was a stupid bug - a single line of code fixed it. I also found a place where Oroboros was still bouncing on a ramp (he was interacting with the ramp like a wow). While fixing these things, I also took some time to adjust how the health bar looked in solo mode.

  • Sound fixes and other tweaks - 27 August 2025

The default balance between music and sound effects has been tweaked slightly to up the volume of the music The default volume of the whole game has been raised slightly The volume of the opening theme has been made louder Certain enemy projectiles (the elf hats and the genie fire) are meant to be able to be destroyed by fire breath. Due to some bad code, the interaction was a little inconsistent. It should be airtight now.

  • Small Glitches Fixed - 18 August 2025

I've been 100% speed running the game - well sort of - I'm still not great at speed running - but that let me test a bunch and find a bunch of small glitches. - The Sphinx hallway and subsequent fight had a lot of glitches specifically related to the bubble shield and especially when members of the party who were not currently the player character had bubble shields. - Oroboros used to glitch out if you unlocked a dragon while using his roll ability. Fixed that. - At least two saw blades were working incorrectly if you changed the bubble shield properties in the difficulty settings menu. - Nessie's ability had been significantly nerfed by a pre-launch change where I made you invincible after losing a bubble shield (the same way you're invincible after losing a life) - and I had missed that fact. I updated Nessie's ability so she stops being invincible if you press the ability button to…

  • Fixing bubble shield glitches - 11 August 2025

As it turns out, there were some pretty serious glitches related to the bubble shield difficulty settings. If you turned on "healthy pop," it worked properly with enemies, but something happened with things like archer arrows and saw blades - oh and mini bosses. I've reprogrammed it to work properly as a second health with "healthy pop" selected. Also, I changed the text in the Game Over menu from "Return to Start" to "Return to Hub," which I think better explains what you're selecting. I was between "Return to Hub" and "Try Again."

  • Minor bug fixes - 19 July 2025

There was a bug where if you were holding up or down when the "select level" frame began, the sign would run through the animation without unlocking a level - that's been fixed There was a bug where the heads on the character wheel were not appearing in the windmill during the tutorial. That's been fixed There was a bug in the underland where you could enter and exit the holes even when the game was paused. That's been fixed.

  • Difficulty Options Added (and more!) - 13 July 2025

Someone requested that the bubble shield act more like an extra health (not popping unless the player takes damage), and although that clashes with our intended vision for the bubble shield, I worried that players would expect it to work that way. This led me down a rabbit hole in which I made a whole options menu for difficulty settings. Your settings also save! That includes camera settings, the new difficulty settings, control settings (but not custom controls, sorry), display settings, and music/sound effects settings. (Settings only save if you exit game through the menus - they save on that confirm-close-game screen.) It was requested that the reset on the snow globe take you back to the beginning of your current build of the castle rather than to the bell tower - this made sense to me and I made the change. The boss rush music was the overworld music - it was always meant to be t…

  • Orchard exit fixed in winter time - 4 July 2025

This patch fixes a few out-of-bounds glitches, but the main thing it does is lets players exit through the orchard in winter (the upper path in the seasonal room in the Woodlands). I had been accidentally placing players on an empty layer when they went on that path.

  • Camera fix - 1 July 2025

When using the palm tree cave exit on the beach level, the temporary camera settings had been affecting the rest of the game. I fixed the code that was doing that.
