• The Storytellers Festival 2025 - 22 February 2025

  From February 18th - 25th, Embers can be found as part of The 2025 Storytellers Festival organized by Two and a Half Studios! As a studio passionate about narrative development we are so thrilled to have been selected to participate in this storytelling event. Thank you to the organizers for including us and putting in the work to bring this event off the page! "With over 400 games from top developers in the narrative game genres, The Storyteller's Festival is a celebration of the art of storytelling, featuring a wide range of visual novels and narrative games that showcase the best in interactive fiction. • Quebec Games Celebration 2025 - 21 February 2025

  Did you know that we're making Embers in Quebec? From February 17th - 24th, our cozy, fantasy journal Embers is participating in the 2025 Quebec Games Celebration! Organized by Indie Asylum, The Quebec Games Celebration is an annual highlight of our local games community and we are honored to finally be able to join in. The celebration features over 200 released and upcoming titles from Quebec's finest independent and AAA devs. As a studio focused on nurturing an equitable world through story, you can find Embers in several of the event's spotlight sections featuring marginalized developers. • Women-Led Games: The Game Awards Edition - 21 February 2025

  Time is flying here at Studio Lazulite and we have some exciting news in the coming months! In the meantime, considering the most recent pushback against women making games, we'd like to highlight a recent event we participated in: Women-Led Games: The Game Awards Edition! From December 8th-15th, Embers joined a selection of absolutely amazing games by women-led teams to celebrate the positive impact of including diverse voices in the game development process, at all levels. • ThanksGaming Women Indies Showcase - 19 November 2024

  Thank you to the IGDA (International Game Developers Association), the iGDA Foundation, and WIGI (Women in Games International) for organizing this amazing event celebrating women-led indies. • Back to School Games Celebration! - 26 August 2024

  Thank you so much to Mooncube Games for hosting the Back to School Games Celebration and including our atmospheric journaling game - Embers! Going back to school is often a stressful time for many students. I personally remember being filled with an intoxicating mix of anxiety and excitement. Change crackled through the autumn air! When it inevitably felt like too much, I knew I could always find solace in the scrawling pages of my fantasy novels and journals. This game is made to honor those safe pages I found as a girl. It invites players to step into the cozy forest of a witchy town, listen to the crackle of the bonfire, and write down their thoughts and experiences in a personal fantasy journal.

• Women-Led Games Summer Game Fest - Embers - 14 June 2024

  Thank you so much to the organizers and partners of the Women-Led Games Summer Game Fest and Steam Sale! Watching our wishlist count grow over the past week has shown us that we're not alone and that an audience exists for our cozy fantasy journal. Embers began as - and remains - a very personal project. As Studio Lazulite's first game, we're proud to finally announce it alongside so many amazing indie games in the 2024 Summer Game Fest. This industry can be fiercely competitive and the continued announcements of layoffs and studio closures haunts many developers... but the kindness and support that we've received from our fellow indies fills us with hope. • Game Developers Conference 2024 - Canada Delegation - 11 June 2024

  In March, our director traveled from Montreal to San Francisco for the Game Developers Conference! There we met up with friends and colleagues and - for the first time ever - showcased our game Embers! We are so grateful to The Canada Trade Commission for selecting Studio Lazulite to join the GDC Canada Delegation. This allowed us the opportunity to showcase our game - for the first time - on the GDC expo floor alongside so many inspiring teams. Everyone gave us such lovely feedback and we can't wait to show you how the game has grown! Also, California is beautiful.
