It's alive!!! Hello drivers, and thanks for your patience while we put together the biggest update we’ve ever delivered! Version 0.39 comes jam-packed with features, including massive graphics changes, a full UI overhaul, a new vehicle, and a ton of quality of life features. Graphics Let’s start with shadows, which have received a massive overhaul. We’ve improved the stability of shadows while driving and moving the camera. Shadows should no longer detach or float away from objects like wheels and car bodies (Peter Pan will be so pleased). We’ve fixed VR shadows as well. They should now align properly for both eyes in VR. Besides that, we’ve also improved GTAO quality and added auto exposure. You can find all the details in the changelogs below: v0.35.5 (April/10, 2025) Game Engine Fixed a crash when closing the application Input and Force Feedback Improved force feedback in several steering wheels by reducing the refresh rate In recent releases the Automatic update rate was allowed to use up to 2000Hz, instead of the safer 400Hz that was used in the past. An excessive update rate will be detrimental for some steering wheels, resulting in poor force feedback. This hotfix reverts Automatic back to using 400Hz or lower. Note: If you want to experiment with higher rates, you can select them manually as usual, and test the results. Dear BeamNG.drive community, We're committed to continuously improving BeamNG.drive and bringing you the best experience possible. As part of this commitment, we'll soon need to end support for some older operating systems. With BeamNG.drive version 0.35 arriving soon, support for Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1 will be discontinued. This change affects less than 0.06% of our community. Additionally, with the upcoming BeamNG.drive version 0.36 later this year, we will also discontinue support for Ubuntu 20.04. What does this mean for you? VEHICLE REMAKE: Gavril T-Series The iconic Gavril T-Series has received an extensive overhaul. Key highlights include a brand new cabover variant, a remake of the conventional cab and mechanical components, complemented by new aerodynamic sleeper variants, tanker upfit, and new walking beam tandem rear suspension. The overall lineup has been expanded with an added early model with round headlights and no front brakes (on some configurations).
