- DeadCore Redux is out now! - 15 January 2026
DeadCore Redux is finally out now!It took us 10+ years to reunite and the first thing we wanted to do is revisit the Tower and give it the extra love it deserved: it is now done and the team is very proud to present you this ultimate version of DeadCore! DeadCore Redux features many improvements compared to the 2014 game like revamped Graphics / Audio / UI, a gigantic new Level, a new Ranking system and supports Gamepads. We also took the liberty to make some minor changes to the original level design and we are so eager to watch you play and find new creative ways to reach the Summit! To celebrate the release, the game launches with a -20% discount and we set up a bundle that includes both versions of DeadCore with an additional -40% discount, mainly to allow the owners of the original game to grab Redux at a significatively lower price. If you feel like challenging the best, the BreadCo…
- Merry Christmas! - 23 December 2025
Hey everyone! A quick news to let you know that we pushed localization further for DeadCore Redux: thanks to our friends at Lockit QA, the game will now be available in Simplified Chinese, Russian and Ukrainian! Back in 2014, DeadCore was supporting English, French (obviously ^^) and German but we took a look at where the majority of our players came from and decided it was time to let them enjoy the game in the most accessible way possible. You can already give it a try as we updated the demo accordingly and are eager to get feedback about it! As you may already know, DeadCore Redux will be released on January 15, 2026: there's still a lot of work to get there but we are really excited to see players race each other again in Speedrun mode and obliterate developers times on every single level : ) Cheers, Team 5 Bits Games.

- Archeology - 7DFPS 11th anniversary - 5 December 2025
Hey there,To celebrate the start of this year 7DFPS, we put together a little surprise for you : )While digging into some old and dusty hard drives, we found ancient builds of Deadlock, the original prototype of DeadCore made during the 2012 7DFPS!Playing these builds, taking a look at old screenshots of different stages of development and old pictures of (way) younger versions of ourselves really brought back many fond memories of the numerous steps we took during this journey! And what a journey! It all started after we graduated from a master in video games where we all met: some of us were starting to work in the industry and were longing for an opportunity to make games together again. The opportunity came up when the first 7DFPS was announced back in summer 2012: the goal was to make a first person game within 7 days and due to the limited time and other constraints the idea of a F…

- DeadCore Redux: Demo Announcement - 28 May 2025
Hello there, We are very happy to announce that DeadCore Redux demo is now available! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04RfJzaW83Q It has been crafted to be released for the AG French Direct event, celebrating french indie devs and broadcasting live on May, 28 at 6PM UTC+2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_mJfGPdssCU This demo will let you (re)discover “The Fall” (Story Level #1) as it’s supposed to be played the first time you launch the game, then a second time with the Dash ability (normally unlocked in Story Level #3). The Dash has always been one of the main components of the game as it allows for experimenting with new ways to navigate levels, letting players find new shortcuts and collectibles: we hope you will like the freedom it provides and, for veteran players, its brand new sound design! Speaking of collectibles, you’ll be able to find 2 Sparks in The Fall. Sadly, most player…

- DeadCore Redux Announcement - 9 April 2025
Hello everybody! So, it has been a long time since we last communicated about the game - well, 10 years is definitely a long time… ^^’ - and today we wanted to share with you some great news. After spending 10+ years working for different game studios, team 5 Bits Games members are joining forces again to make new games and, as as way to get back in the saddle, we spent the past year working on DeadCore Redux, a remaster of our game DeadCore released in 2014. Making DeadCore Redux is not only a way for us to learn again to work as a team, but also the opportunity to get the extra polish time we missed back in 2014 and to address the issues reported by the community. This new version features many cool things, like revamped graphics and audio, gamepads support and a brand new Story level, and we really hope people will like it. Speaking of which, the Steam page is now online there: DeadC…

- DeadCore Patch 02 - [EN - FR] - 5 June 2015
---------------------------------------------------- Hey everyone! We know it's been a long time since DeadCore last update but all the team members had to deal with their daily jobs (and sometime rush periods) before being able to find the time required to work on the game. So let's get to the point: we are currently in the process of uploading a new version and if everything goes fine (yup, there's always a "if" ^^) it should be available today! This update brings its share of bug fixes and tweaks, like the "Gravity Box exploit" or the support of higher (and fancier) screen resolutions. You will find more details in the upcoming release note but another important news is that we will have to reset the current leaderboards to make it fair for everyone, especially new players. We hope this update will provide you a better speedrunning experience and we are looking forward to seeing you…

- DeadCore Patch 01 - [EN - FR] - 18 December 2014
EN Hi everyone! Here we are: the patch fixing the 'Blast Climbing' is now tested, approved and ready to be torn apart by you people : ) After discussing with players very active on the Steam forums we decided to reset the leaderboards as they were full of times made using the exploit: it means that the new leaderboards are now blank, you should hurry for the first place! But don't worry, we also kept the old leaderboards in a separate branch called 'deadcore_1.0', along with DeadCore version 1.0 (the one that sill feature the 'Blast Climbing' exploit). To get access to this, you will have to turn your current branch of DeadCore to the 'deadcore1.0' one, by right-clicking on the game name (in your Steam Library), then click on 'properties'. Then click on the BETA tab and select ‘deadcore_1.0’ in the list and wait a little bit for the download. That’s it! This way everyone will be able to…

- Impressions: DeadCore - 1 December 2014
DeadCore snuck up from nowhere. A complete FPS platformer, out on Steam tomorrow, whose terrible name belies a swishy, entertaining and rather tricky game. There’s is no shortage of FPS platform jumping of late, so does DeadCore do enough to stand out? …
