• Update Notice - 31 January 2025

  We have released a patch update to provide a smoother and more enjoyable gameplay experience. This update includes improvements to camera adjustment and controls, and a new feature related to difficulty settings. ■ Changes Adjustments to movement control with the analogue stick when the camera shifts during field movement. “Vibration” option has been added to settings, allowing controller vibration settings to be changed. “Camera Interpolation Time” option has been added to settings, allowing the speed at which the camera rotates when moving through the field to be adjusted. For a second or subsequent playthrough, “Custom Difficulty” can now be selected from the difficulty options. The length of time required to press and hold down the “Fast Forward” or “Skip” button has been reduced.

• The creator of Final Fantasy is looking to squeeze out one more game as part of his "farewell note", and he's hoping it'll be a successor to a fan favourite entry in the series - 26 January 2025

• Final Fantasy creator's artful RPG Fantasian Neo Dimension launches on PC today - 5 December 2024

  Developed by Mistwalker, a studio founded by Final Fantasy dad Hironobu Sakaguchi, Fantasian was originally released on Apple Arcade in 2021 and locked within the big fruit's exclusivity cage. Now, though, Mistwalker and Square Enix have come together to re-release the RPG for us PC heads, calling it Fantasian Neo Dimension .   Each time I load up Fantasian Neo Dimension , I feel a bit of catharsis. While it’s certainly fulfilling to find the former Apple Arcade exclusive RPG on a full-fledged console at last, what really warmed my old Final Fantasy fan heart was seeing the logos for Mistwalker and Square Enix both pass by on the way to the loading screen.
