- Pinnacle Point Development Update: Cars, Lighting & World Progress - 26 August 2026
Development on Pinnacle Point has been moving forward steadily, with several major parts of the game coming together. One of the biggest recent additions is the vehicle system. The goal was never to make the car feel like a light arcade vehicle. It needed weight, suspension, momentum, and that slightly unwieldy feeling of driving a proper heavy machine through the world. It’s now getting much closer to that. The game's lighting has also been completely reworked. This ended up affecting the atmosphere of pretty much every area, so alongside it I’ve also been rebuilding and improving the vegetation and environmental presentation. The map itself is now fairly fleshed out, with most of the major areas taking shape and starting to feel like parts of one coherent place rather than separate development environments. There's still plenty to refine, but Pinnacle Point is increasingly starting to loo…
- Development Update: Work Continues - 13 June 2026
It has been a long time since the last update, so I wanted to share a small note on where things stand.Work on Pinnacle Point has continued steadily behind the scenes. A lot of the recent progress has been focused on experimenting with ideas that may or may not make it into the final game. One of the bigger things currently being prototyped is a car mechanic. It is still early, but the idea is to explore whether driving could add more tension, atmosphere, and variety to moving through parts of the island. As with everything in Pinnacle Point, the goal is not to add features for the sake of adding features, but to make sure they serve the mood, pacing, and story of the game.More updates will follow as development continues.Thank you for following the project and enjoy the vibes of this scene!
