• Prerelease Update - 28 March 2025

  This is going to be the final update before release. I have a barebones version of the single player campaign but it is only if you select Azrael for the time being. I'm going to patch it up after release and keep adding content to this mode. I also removed the information section for now. I will continue to patch this up as well, adding tutorials, in-depth character bios, and lore. All of this can be done after the release of the game. As it stands now, the game itself is in a very stable and well-balanced condition. However, I received a negative review that pointed out something interesting to me that I'd like to share. He was complaining that Shen was overpowered, which seemed ridiculous to me because he was always underpowered in the original game. As it turns out, he was absolutely right. • Major Update - New Stages - 24 February 2025

  This update adds 5 new stages on the bottom row of the stage select. This also fixes a bug where players would clip through ceilings or solid objects. It also adds a lot of new animations, attacks, and tweaks to Hazel. Her air down smash now does a flip and spikes the enemies down. It is harder to land and does slightly more damage. Her air tilts have new animations and a bit of travel on them as well. I also fixed single player. You can try an early version of it if you pick Azrael. You will see new cutscenes and dialogue. • New Year's Update - 6 January 2025

  This update fixes a lot of bugs, mostly ones introduced with the last update which included Team and Stock modes, along with player handicaps. There is also a new stage, which is essentially a fortress. I will continue to patch in a few more as time goes on. I'm working hard on finishing the game up and doing a full release soon. Currently, the information section is still a work in progress, so a lot of it is shut off for now. I will finish this soon and patch it up in the next update.

• Major Christmas Update. - 24 December 2024

  This update features a lot of new content. Single Player now has a bit of dialogue when you choose Azrael. With each update I will continue to improve the single player campaign experience with more cut scene type of sequences, and add dialogue for each and every character. Single Player is also easier overall now with more continues being made available per mode. Hard mode now offers up to 3 continues instead of just one, for example. Easy Mode has also been made *extremely* easy for newcomers. A generic soldier fighter has been added in the campaign mode as well. Team Mode has also been added into the game. The controller can now use the Y button (Triangle Button on Playstation) to cycle through teams. Same for the player colors. • Small Update - 22 November 2024

  This update adds more new graphics and tweaks to Hazel, most notably her forward air smash attack which sends her spinning through the air. Minor adjustments to this character as well as Single Player were made.

• Another Big Update - 24 October 2024

  After 6 months, I've finally finished updating all of the sprites and animation for Samael. He now has much cleaner looking graphics and animations overall. He also has an Ascended form that activates over level 24 when your stamina and health are low. I'm also currently working on updating Hazel. In this patch, she has a better run, jump, and double jump animation. Much more are coming soon. She also has a lot of minor buffs overall. She has more roll and air dodge distance, more natural stamina regeneration, and a much faster power-up stamina regeneration as well. Her grab lunges her forward a bit, is open longer, and she has rapid hits that deal minor damage when she grabs an opponent. Her Air Smashes deactivate her flight, and her Air Up Smash pushes her up a little bit as she strikes, and a little more if the attack connects. • Massive Update! - 7 September 2024

  This is the first update and it's pretty huge. Please bare in mind that I'm practically a solo developer doing all of this on my own. First of all, the game now prompts you on the first startup to choose your operating system; Windows or Linux. By doing this, it fixes the game for people who are running it on Linux or Steam Deck. Before this update, it would only work on Windows. Once you've selected it the first time around, it never asks you again, but you can still change it in the options menu. 3 new songs were also added. Also, Samael's sprites are being completely redone. I'm about 75% finished with his new sprites. All characters have been made available from the start in the early access version. Weight is a bigger factor in throw distance now. Ravenous's grabs have also been slightly nerfed. The pickup range for items is now slightly greater. There is a new attack speed variabl…
