- Furball Debuts! System Upgrades and Experimental Features 🚀 - 28 January 2025
Hello Rippers! 🎧 What I’ve Been Working On Some exciting updates are now live in the playtest! 🎉 Furball is here. This new system is less demanding than the particle systems, making it a great option for smoother performance. 🚀 Improved Systems and Styles Tabs. The Systems and Styles tabs got a major upgrade: Premade styles are now included, which can be mixed and matched with select systems. Style saving now takes a screenshot for easy reference. A ton of polish has been added for smoother navigation. 🌀 Parameter Randomizer (Experimental). I’m testing out a randomizer feature—just press R to shake things up. Note: Some combinations might break the visualizer. If that happens: Reselect the system. Or press R again to fix it. ⚙️ Radial Visualizer Fixes. Previously non-functional sliders on the radial visualizer, like spacing, now properly control the radius as intended. What’s Next -…
- Fluffy Furball Visualizer Coming Soon! - 15 December 2024
Hello Rippers! 🎧 Release Update: A Little More Time to Shine Bad news first—I've decided to delay the release from December to March. Why? Because RippleFX needs more polish and a few extra visualizer options to be the best it can be. The good news? The playtest is still live, so you can jump in, try it out, and share your feedback. Every bit helps me improve! New Visualizer: Fluffy Furball Introducing the "Fluffy Furball," a new visualizer that reacts to the beat with a playful, fluffy energy. This one was inspired by Kings & Folk - Country Rounds (Sqeepo Remix) on YouTube. The Fluffy Furball visualizer will be available in the playtest in the coming weeks. Your Feedback is Key If you’re already testing RippleFX, let me know what you think. Got ideas? Bugs to report? Drop them in the discussion board or the feedback section. - RippleFX Playtest is Live: New Features & Future Plans! - 27 August 2024
Hello Rippers! Playtest is Live! I’m excited to announce that the RippleFX Playtest is live now and will run 2 weeks until September 10. This playtest is all about testing how the visualizer reacts to music across different PC setups. Since audio drivers, equalizers, and hardware configurations can impact how the visualizer responds to various frequencies. Join the playtest now on the RippleFX Steam page and help me shape the future of RippleFX. What I’ve Been Working On These Past Few Months: Added auto audio sensitivity, which adjusts the visualizer’s responsiveness based on the loudness of your music. Added a performance fallback system that reduces the maximum number of particles if the FPS drops below 45. The lower the FPS, the fewer particles are spawned—no more freezes or crashes! Made radial visualizer but still ironing out some issues. I really like how it turned out, here is a…
- Enhanced UI, Performance, and Music Analysis! - 12 May 2024
Hey everyone, update! New User Interface: It’s slicker, easier to use, and just looks way cooler. Hope you like it! Performance Optimization: Smoother visuals and a better overall experience. Improved Music Analysis: I’ve tweaked the music analysis algorithms, so now the visualizer reacts even better to the beats. It’s like the visuals are dancing along with the music! Quality of Life Improvements: You can now use the mouse wheel to adjust customization values. It’s a small thing, but it feels really nice and intuitive. But here’s the best part: You no longer need to setup Windows submix anymore. I’ve managed to get the audio working right out of the box without the submix. This was a huge challenge for me, but I’m really proud of how it turned out. New Features: I’ve added a speedometer dashboard for more music visualization and you can now customize each emitter color individually. Ol…
