  When the player jumps on rock platforms, gaining momentum is no longer necessary. The player can now hold the forward movement button while jumping, and the character will move slightly in mid-air.

  - REDUCED VRAM REQUIREMENTS BY 3-4 GB - Updated Isla's hair with a much more optimized version and changed the look. This performance optimization has made a significant improvement in VRAM usage. Vribyss Refuge™ The Escape is now playable with the GeForce 1060 GTX (6 GB) and the AMD Radeon RX 580 (8GB). - Fixed a "jittery movement" whenever the character moves backward or at an angle in "Strafing Mode." - Fixed in-game camera moving way too fast.

  • Switched the keyboard "Sword Equip/Unequip" key to "Y" for easier access. • Added the ability to swing the sword with the "F" & "G" keyboard keys. • Switched the keyboard "Strafing" key to "Tab" for easier access. • Fixed a glitch where after the character dies she could "come back to life" for a few seconds before the game restarts.

• Update for 7-2-24 - 2 July 2024

  • Increased the likeness of triggering the RMB combo attack. Fixed a glitch where it was hard to trigger this combo. • Fixed a glitch that allowed the sword combo audio to continue playing if the character was injured or the attack was canceled by dashing away. Now all sword combo audio stops immediately if the combo is canceled for any reason. • Updated the escape room so the game doesn't start from the beginning if the player falls off the cliff once and the game isn't saved. As long as the escape timer hasn't started, even if the player didn't save the game, they get one more chance before the game starts over from the beginning. • Updated the keyboard controls so that dashing fwd, bwd, left, & right can all happen with the keyboard alone. All menus were updated to reflect these changes.

The adaptive difficulty system changes the game's difficulty on the fly based on one or more factors: current player health, how many (if any) enemies have been defeated, and the time it takes the player to complete certain tasks. * Updated the menus to provide more clarity for the controller mapping.
