- Leo: The Square launches on Steam on June 17! - 7 June 2025
Hi everyone! The past few months have been quite difficult — life kept getting in the way, and there wasn’t much time for development. Still, I decided not to postpone the release and am officially announcing the release date of Leo: The Square — June 17!This project started over a year ago as something small. Then came long breaks, and it stretched out much more than I expected. Steam Next Fest helped me get back into development, release the demo, and gave me the confidence to see it through. I also set a release date for myself so I wouldn’t keep pushing it back in my mind. Now I’m working hard to make sure the final result is worth it!After release, I plan to continue supporting the game — adding updates, new localizations, and levels. I already have lots of ideas I haven’t had time to implement yet. That said, Leo: The Square will be a complete project at launch.I’m really happy wit…
- Getting Closer to Release! - 22 May 2025
Hello everyone! I wanted to share a quick update - I’ve been actively working on the game, and as of now, about two-thirds of the levels are complete. The release is getting closer. Just recently, I finished working on a unique level that stands out from the rest of the game. To be honest, the closer I get to the finish line, the harder it is to believe I’ll actually complete it. That’s why I’ve now set an internal release date for myself. I’m not sharing it publicly just yet — anything can happen - but I’m doing my best to meet it. I started this project a long time ago, but life kept getting in the way, and it took me a while to really focus. Now I finally feel like I’m on the final stretch, which is also the hardest part. Even though the game is small, it means a lot to me - it’s my first game. Some of you may have already played the demo, and it’s still available! Sometimes it’s har…

- Demo Coming Soon to Steam Next Fest! - 21 January 2025
Hello! I'm back to developing Leo: The Square after a break. The game will participate in the upcoming Steam Next Fest. I'm currently working on a demo, which will be available very soon. I'll share more details about the demo's content later. For now, I just wanted to let you know that development is ongoing, and this project is moving forward. I believe the demo will give you a better understanding of what this game is all about. This will be my first experience releasing something on Steam, and I hope everything goes well. It's like a small rehearsal before the full release. Plus, it will help the game reach a wider audience. I'm also starting work on the trailer and other materials. There’s a lot of news ahead! Thank you for your interest in the project! Antantic
- THE FIRST TEN LEVELS ARE READY! - 22 June 2024
Hello, I'm pleased to announce a significant milestone in the game development process. I've completed the creation of the first ten levels! It's been a long and intensive process, full of trials and creative solutions. My friends have started testing the levels, and I'm happy to report they are satisfied with what they see. Their feedback helps to improve the gaming experience and make each level even more engaging. This is important because I aim to create a game that brings enjoyment and challenge to players. The experience gained from working on these levels will be valuable for future development. The process typically involved starting each level with sketches on paper, translating ideas into the game engine editor. This process allows me to experiment with various arrangements of blocks, lighting, particle effects, and mechanics to achieve the desired gaming atmosphere. My main t…

- Updates: Level Design Challenges! - 15 May 2024
I've got some exciting updates to share with you all. Recently, I've started putting my knowledge of level design into action, and let me tell you, it's been quite the journey! Building levels is both challenging and fascinating, but I'm loving every minute of it. It all starts with a simple pencil and paper. Yep, you heard it right! I sketch out my level ideas on paper first, just to get a sense of how everything will look and play out. Then, it's time to bring those sketches into Unity, the game engine I use. Seeing the levels come to life on the screen is always a blast! But the work doesn't end there. Once I've got the basics down, it's all about testing and fine-tuning. I jump into the game myself, playing through the levels, tweaking things here and there to make sure everything feels just right for you, the players. And you know who else helps out? My girlfriend! She's always up…
