Greetings, Jakub @TeamEpikugemu here.Some time has passed since Definitive Edition dropped, and I'm happy to say that reception of it has been quite positive for what it does. I'd also like to announce that this remake has been a side-project of mine while something else has been in on-and-off development. I hereby would like to say, a sequel has been in the works since the original game released mid-2024. We don't know yet when it'll release, or even IF it will release, considering life's been getting in the way time and time again.Foremost however, I'd like to thank for the recent reviews that provided some more constructive criticism of the game and it's flaws - I'm looking forward to seeing more of those in the near future as I continue to try and convince Krzysztof that making just another Dragon Quest clone won't do - He is absolutely aware of that. The wait is finally over: Epic Quest - Definitive Edition is now live! The game has been completely reworked on an nw.js based engine, with all new assets, enhanced resolution, and some more improvements to the overall game. Greetings, It is once again Jakub from Team Epikugemu, proud to announce that everything we've been preparing is complete and well out of the testing phase. The game's had a fair share of rebalancing done in that timespan, and we hope It'll have been worth the wait. Hello, once again it is I, Jakub, bringing to you another load of information on the Definitive Edition of Epic Quest. Let's cut straight to the chase:Difficulty RebalanceThe game will have it's difficulty adjusted to be tougher than the original, but also more manageable. That is: Ideally the necessary grind will be reduced to a minimum, the battles will be tough, but if you know what you're doing you'll be able to win them regardless of your party's levels or equipment.Thus, from what I've checked so far, it seems early on you'll also have to be a bit more decisive with your purchases. Do you want to get better equipment to get through battles quicker? Do you wanna stock up on supplies to survive longer? maybe you wanna get a new party member with relatively weak starting equipment but exceling in certain stats? It's all up to you.
