• V1.2 Steam Deck improvements and price drop! - 28 April 2026

  To celebrate releasing the demo of our first full game "Less Miserables", we are adding Steam Deck controller support to 'The Protagonish' and cutting the price for good!The Protagonish was always nice on Steam Deck, but we've added button and controller support for selecting dialogue options, which makes for a much nicer experience than doing this with the fiddly touchscreen. As the game has been out nearly 2 years now, we are also permanently dropping the price to just $0.99! It's only a very short game, so after feedback this seems like a better price. And that's why we are working on a full length game, 'Less Miserables'!It's a point-and-click parody of 'Les Miserables', but with the same team from The Protagonish. • v1.1 Patch fixes! - 4 November 2024

  Thanks to everyone for reporting bugs they found in the release version of The Protagonish! Fixed in this update are (in order of hilarity): Fixed a bug where the fox would appear to be on fire after resuming from menu Adventurer would randomly yell distances during a few monk exchanges Fixed instances where the Adventurer got stuck after being sent on quest Adventurer no longer yells over himself in front of the miner Too many options in Beastie dialogue Clouds and titles didn't restart on game restart Improved quest linkages between characters If you find more, please let us know in the forums here, and we try and get them fixed ASAP! You lovely players are the MVPs!
