  Today we bring you patch 2.1. This update brings a new visual rework to the ship controller giving the ability to assign cannons through the grid (similar to assigning moves), players can still assign cannons through the board like before if they wish. This feature is only 1 of many coming in our Batch 2 update coming soon, but we just could not wait to release this one early as it enhances the player experiences a lot! • August Update: P2P and Custom Lobbies! - 5 September 2024

  Up until this point we've been using dedicated servers to run Tales of Fortune. Dedicated servers are expensive to manage especially early in development therefore we have opted to creating a new solution which will both save us money and allow for a more flexible system. This means that now all servers will be running through peer-to-peer, one player will be hosting the server on their local PC and the other players will be connecting to that user through Steam. Making this change has been a hurdle to overcome because as mentioned earlier the game has always been running using a dedicated server architecture which means that quite late in development we've had to change to a new system. So we are happy to announce that peer-to-peer is now functioning and running. We will be using the upcoming week to test and ensure that it works properly. • July Update: Collision and Grid Indicators! - 8 August 2024

  In this update, we’ve enhanced ship collision interactions with new animations, adding 10 unique collision scenarios, including ship-to-ship and environmental collisions. These improvements are designed to handle various situations, providing a more immersive experience. Additionally, we’ve updated the movement visuals with new grid indicators. These indicators show the tiles where players can move and display the move costs, making the gameplay more intuitive, especially for new players. The new indicators also distinguish collidable tiles. While you’ll never be restricted from making a move (even if it results in a collision), this update makes it clearer which tiles are collidable, especially in situations where it might not be immediately obvious. - Hadi
