Big ticket items... Revenant Achievements! He now has a batch of achievements, bringing him in line with the other characters. We got a lot of feedback that the Revenant was maybe TOO powerful, so he's been hit hard with the nerf hammer. We halved his health, making him more of a glass cannon character: fragile, but deadly. That includes one of the new enemies, which has proven to be ... trickier than we had originally thought. It's taken a bunch of tough love to bash it into shape, but it's now come into focus and is proving to be more than a little terrifying in the right circumstances. More news next week! We already have a system for randomised enemy types per level, but we initially tuned that down to make the early game more consistent. The downside was that most people who die frequently in the early game only see the same enemies over and over, so we'll be mixing things up in the coming update. I’ve been meaning to spend more time with offbeat first-person swashbuckling roguelike City of Brass , and today’s update is exactly the excuse I needed to come back to it. While the launch version of the Arabian Nights-inspired smash n’ grab was perhaps a little limited it its scope, today’s “Fortune’s Rivals” update broadens its horizons with two new playable character classes, as well as the option to swap the original protagonist’s gender.
