- New Game Mode - Frenzy! - 25 August 2024
🎲 Frenzy, a new game mode, has been added! 🎲 In this mode, you draft 40 artifacts upfront and then play 5 full rounds, aiming to score as many points as possible. A new leaderboard is available for this game mode, along with local tracking of personal high scores. There is no traditional game over or win condition; it's about challenging yourself and competing on the leaderboard if that's your goal. The following artifacts are not available in this game mode: Chaotic Conundrum, Cleanse, Grower, One Up, Out of Control, The Bad Shoulder, The Good Shoulder, Trifecta, Window Shopping. The following cursed artifacts are not available in this game mode: Endless Maze, Haywire, Take What You Get
- Major Balance Changes - 19 August 2024
General Changes The base score of a Penta is now 55. (Was 50) Charging Up & Charging Up Plus no longer appear in the shop until rounds 15 and onward. Artifacts with a percent chance to roll a Baby Straight on the come out roll have a 33% chance to roll 5-4-3-2-X, X will never be 1 or 6 on the come out roll. This change is intended to synergize with the recently added Countdown artifact (Scoring a Large Straight with the sequence 5-4-3-2-1 grants 14% of the required points. Large Straight can be played one additional time.) Artifacts with a percent chance to roll a Large Straight on the come out roll have a 25% chance to roll 5-4-3-2-1. This change is intended to synergize with the recently added Countdown artifact (Scoring a Large Straight with the sequence 5-4-3-2-1 grants 14% of the required points. - French and Korean localizations have been added to the game! - 16 August 2024
French and Korean localizations have been added to the game! Costly Expedition, Rent Control, and Tit For Tat have been reworked to reduce the number of times a random hand can be played, instead of outright disabling hands. Costly Expedition - All scores multiplied by 1.4. The amount of times you may reroll dice is increased by 1. Reduces the number of times a random hand can be played by 2. Rent Control - 3% Chance to roll a Full House on come out roll. Full House can be played two additional times. Reduces the number of times a random hand can be played by 2. Tit For Tat - All scores multiplied by 1.8. Reduces the number of times a random hand can be played by 1.
- New Player Experience & Miscellaneous Changes - 11 August 2024
Hi everyone, another small patch was just released that I think should enhance the new player experience a quite bit. Removed a number of artifacts from showing up in your first two good shops (Rounds 1 & 3) that really aren't great to be picking early. Newer players wouldn't know any better what to choose and it's possible they pick something that sets them off on the wrong foot. The picks available now generally have all score multipliers on them, making it easier to reach the score requirement and in fewer hands. This should hopefully also speed up the earlier rounds which tend to play slower and give the impression that a full run of 42 rounds will take an eternity, even though the pace picks up shortly after. (A full run typically takes about an hour) Score requirements are slightly lowered from rounds 7 to 15. Building Blocks - Each time the same hand is played, its base points in…
- Balance and Tooltip Changes - 9 August 2024
🚨 Patch Time! 🚨 General Changes Charging Up and Poisonous Dice now have tooltips to explain what emblems and hexes do, allowing the artifact descriptions to be considerably shorter. The tooltips have been reworded to give a more clear understanding as to how playing one hand with multiple emblems/hexes works. Charging Up's tooltip erroneously stated 3 emblems were required to trigger the effect, it was actually always 2 in the code. The tooltip has been updated to state 2 emblems are required. One Up's description now reads: All scores multiplied by 1.3. If you would lose the game, instead sacrifice this Artifact. Does not grant another artifact. (Nothing has changed, just making it clear that after you return to the shop, you do not get a new artifact) Balance Building Blocks (Plus) - These artifacts are no longer offered in the early game, as they're only useful after taking artifac…

- Quality of Life, Artwork and Balance - 6 August 2024
New patch just dropped! Another small one courtesy of my lunch break. Can now view the Scoring panel from the Shop! Added a FPS Limit option to the Settings. Checking this box will limit the FPS to 60 (Will also disable vsync). Leave it unchecked to use your monitor's native refresh rate. Artwork for Continuity and Countdown have been added! The Blind Luck challenge reward has been changed from granting +5 to the base score of a Full House to unlocking the Countdown artifact. https://i.imgur.com/47PhwIS.png Artifacts that can increase the multiplier cap have a tooltip explaining that 500x is the default. There's a small number of artifacts that already had a tooltip to explain their mechanics, these will not explain the multiplier cap. Ex: Continuity Garbage Collection - Anything Goes score is multiplied by 0.5. (Previously 0.6) Garbage Collection - Limit now 2. (Previously 3) No Going…
- It's a Quickie - 6 August 2024
Quick small patch! El Diablo - Playing a hand that contains exactly three 6's multiplies the score by 0.3 and caps the score at 3000. (Limit 1, was 2) Snake Eyes - Playing a hand that contains exactly two 1's multiplies the score by 0.1 and caps the score at 2500. Clicking an artifact in the shop when you don't have any choices remaining now shows a pop up message telling you so, previously did nothing. You can now hover over the icons of achievements that unlock a new artifact as a reward to see the artifact. This does not work in the demo/retail version.
- Refreshing Changes for Rogue Rollout - 5 August 2024
Patch yourself in for new updates! (Thank you ChatGPT for these corny headlines) Refreshing the shop has been reworked! Previously, each slot could be refreshed individually. This meant refreshing each slot was always the correct thing to do, as you could sit on your preferred option but see if anything better comes up with no risk. Now, the refresh button rerolls every slot together. Players will have to decide if it's worth giving up an option they like to see new choices. The reward for completing the Limited Supply challenge has changed from granting extra rerolls to unlocking the artifact Grower. The button to swap between artifacts and cursed artifacts in the shop has a new coat of paint. This button also has a tooltip now when hovering over it. A tooltip has also been added to the buttons that let you change the faces of the dice in the shop. Many players didn't understand the pu…
- Time for a fresh coat of patch! - 4 August 2024
General Changes Dice skins have been added to the game! Kind of. The artist is still creating them, however they've been implemented into the game. When you open that screen, you can mouse over the slots to see what you need to do to unlock them. While the skins aren't added yet, you could start to complete these tasks and you'll have access to the skins as soon as they're ready. The tasks that require you to beat the game on a particular difficulty will need to be done again even if you've already done it, however the challenge related ones should work retroactively. Lowered the brightness on some text that users reported was like staring into the sun. Beginning at round 50, there will be two cursed artifact shops for every one artifact shop. Ex: 50 and 51 will both be cursed artifacts, 52 will be a beneficial one, then 53 and 54 will be cursed again, and so on. Fixed the description o…
- Another Day, Another Patch! - 3 August 2024
Additional tooltips have been added at various places in the game. One day, everyone will be aware of the scoring panel. The UI now says your current round out of 42, the goal. While watching some streams, players don't recall what the goal is. It will say Current Round: XX (Endless) after 42. The Good Shoulder's percent chance to gain points has been reduced to 10%. (From 20%) Window Shopping and it's Plus variant have lost the extra shop rerolls, but the chance of rare artifacts appearing has increased. Lucky Sevens Plus' score of the seventh hand played is multiplied by 7. (From 17) Snake Eyes - Everyone's favorite freebie to stack can only be chosen one time. In addition, the score multiplier is now 0.1. (From 0.4) Good luck, Rogue Rollers!
- It's patch o'clock! - 2 August 2024
It's patch o'clock, added in some quality of life changes! If you have Loaded Dice, after winning a round the die value is set back to the loaded die's value when transitioning from the game screen to the shop screen. This means no more needing to change it every round. It does not persist through game relaunches though, so if you come back to a session you'll need to set them up one more time. Added a new Brightness option in the Settings. Hopefully no more "oof ow my eyes" comments from people with more sensitive peepers! The Bad Shoulder/The Good Shoulder have been tweaked a bit. The Bad Shoulder no longer lowers your score, just makes it where you cannot lock dice. In addition, it only takes 2 rounds instead of 3 to turn it into The Good Shoulder. If you have modifiers making it where you can't lock 4 or 5 dice already, you won't get offered The Bad Shoulder, since there's no drawba…
