As such, we would like to present the honest truth for Act 3 as a get go, before moving on to the Q&A. As it stands right now, we're posed with a genuine problem we're not in a position to resolve. As you might know and understand, Her Last Piece is quite heavy on the art division, and Her Last Piece has simply not been quite the financial success we have obviously all hoped for. Hey folks, It's been a few days since Valentine's Day, the release day of Act 2 of Her Last Piece, and first of all we would like to once more express our thanks for the warm reception, kind words and pro-active bug reports we've received. We've been able to gain valuable feedback, criticism and statistics, and from that perspective, we'd like to share our thoughts for the future of Her Last Piece, primarily Act 3. As it stands right now, and writing this with much sadness, Act 2 almost absolutely flopped. Your reception has been great, but our game has had very limited to no reach. For some context, we did assume Act 1 would not be quite successful, but it would allow you to get an early peek and offer suggestions, that have definitely helped shape Act 2. It will tackle all of the bug reports we've gotten thus far which we're grateful for, which includes the steam achievements currently not working. We'd also like to thank you for the extremely positive reception we've gotten. It's a blessing to have our hard work be rewarded with such kind words, as it's not always easy to get rid of the doubts in your mind when developing, which brings me to a hopefully small request. While we’re striving to release the full update, there is a small chance we may only have partial VA (voice acting) available. Hey guys! 😊 Just to let you guys know how progress is going, the writing is (nearly) as good as done. We’ve gone through it with a fine-tooth comb, lots of changes here and there, and we’re very happy so far with how it’s turned out. We still have some things that need dealing with on the code front, sorting steam cloud saving, adding achievements, and upgrading the quality from 1080 to 4K. The music and VA stuff is still to be finalized, then it’s just testing and polishing… Lots and lots of testing and polishing! One thing of note, the game with Act 2’s release will slightly increase in price to $10.99 due to the huge amount of content we're adding, as we mentioned before, with each of the major acts released, we would gradually raise the price slightly to match the length and quality. 🙂 As a small warning, old saves may not work with act 2's launch. Hello everyone, 😊 We’re making great strides on Act 2; we’re currently doing a lot of work with the Live2D elements of the game as well as integrating a lot of the actual content. This is both a fast and slow process simultaneously, it’s a lot of back and forth and tweaking things… Going back… Tweaking them again, rinse and repeat. Anyway, we’re not here to bore you with the details and logistics of game design, What we are here to do, is tease an exciting new character with her own agenda… With all the chaos and drama of the player and Arvenia’s twisted romance, could she be a force to help bring about some peace and stability? … Or is she going to throw fire and turn this hot oven into an inferno?
