• Advanced Mode beta testing in progress! - 22 August 2026

  Heyo Mixtapers! We have a fun update for our advanced users today!We realize a lot of people who get into 10 Second Mixtape more deeply wish there was a bit more freedom around creating tracks. With that in mind we have created our first prototype for what we are currently calling "Advanced Mode". This mode does not feature the same song creation flow as the standard "play" mode. The main difference being that the game takes you straight to the tape deck where you can select any instrument you want to use and any partner as well!Currently you can have a total of 10 tracks in your song. This means if you wanted to lay down 5 or 6 of your own tracks and only have a couple partners it’s totally possible! When it comes to selecting partners there are some cool features as well. By default, the game will show you a random assortment of potential partners, but you can filter by instrument and…

• Small Update: Solo performances hit the stage! - 4 July 2026

  Hey everyone! We have a small update today but it's a lot of fun to play with! Solo performers You can now highlight and mute/unmute performers on the stage! This feature that was available on our website is now in game for the first time! Give it a try! New Options setting: "Show Note Names" You can find this in the options menu if you would like see the names of notes on the tape deck instead of keyboard keysThis is off by default but hopefully useful for people who actually understand music theory a little better! We also have some bigger updates coming later this month so please look forward to those as well! See ya in the venue!

  Hey Mixtapers! We have been enjoying watching everyone enjoying the demo and making a ton of awesome songs. Honestly some are so good we don't even know how it's possible 😂.
