Hello everybody! I hope everyone is doing well. Small update for this one.The changes:Added 2 new additional custom maps that you can play for your custom sets or modes like JLPT Practice or the Blitz ModesRefactored the logic for searching Japanese vocabulary in the search bar in some of the dictionary screens. Previously, you could only search via romaji prefix but now results will include words that have the search input as part of its romaji substring. For example, lets say I have words: kakimasu, ki, and dekimasu. Before, if I try to search ki, only ki and kikimasu will appear since both words begin with ki. Now, all 3 words appear since ki is a substring within dekimasu.Thanks for playing!

Where you can access your custom sets As of this update, you can access the UI panel to add/view/edit custom sets through 2 ways: 1.) Main Menu -> Dictionary -> Your custom curated sets 2.) Main Menu -> Play (opens the level selection menu) -> Build / Play Custom Study Sets What a custom set contains For each custom study set, you'll be able to name the custom set anything you like, provide an optional description to give more context, and add words. For a word, you can provide romaji, kana, kanji, and a definition. Romaji and kana are required. A custom set also requires a unique ID. Make sure that you save so your custom sets are consistent between play sessions! You can delete any words from a custom set or delete a custom…

Hello everyone, Here is a small update. Let me know if you run into any issues. What's changed: Added another extra configuration setting to adjust the size of the definition text You can now drag the Kana Combo UI text anywhere on the screen in the case that the text blocks any enemy text Note that the position placement will be saved for that specific map upon level completion or by going to the main menu mid-game via the pause menu (this is where saving logic is called) so that you won’t have to move it again if you play the same map again. - Version 1.7 - Level Completion Times and Customizable Enemy Text Font Size - 4 February 2025
Hi everyone, Hope you are doing well. Here is a small update. What's changed: Level Completion Times - you can now see the duration it took to complete a level as well as your personal best time for that level. This will be shown in minutes and seconds (for example: 2 min 34.56 sec). The time will be displayed in the Level Review window after winning a level. Customizable Enemy Text Font Size - you can now set the font size of enemy text to suit your liking. This can be accessed in the Extra Configs menu which can be navigated to by doing: Pause Menu -> Settings -> Extra Configs. Fixed some display issues with Katakana levels. Thanks for playing!

Hi guys, Happy new year! I hope everyone had a happy holidays. Here is a new update to help with your Japanese learning. Here is the changelog: A new item has been added to the in-game shop called Stun Enemies. At the time of item activation, it will set all enemies’ movement speed to 0 for 4 seconds. Do note that you cannot have Slow Enemies and Stun Enemies active at the same time. For levels 1 - 17, you can now choose to hear the kana pronunciations when eliminating enemies in the first few waves that have singular kana to learn for that specific level to help with memorization. For example, pronunciation clips can play on an enemy's death if the kana they contain is either あ, い, う, え, or お for level 1 or か, き, く, げ, or ご for level 2. - Version 1.4.0 - Viewing Previously Typed Vocabulary Words - 19 November 2024
Hi guys, Here is a new feature based on some feedback. Let me know if you run into any bugs or have any suggestions. Thanks for playing and I hope your Japanese learning journey is going well! Here is what's changed: Viewing Typed Vocabulary Words - Located in the Kana Dictionary screen (accessed from the Main Menu), you can now see all of the vocabulary words you have typed going forward. Any Japanese words with an attached definition will be added to the list. This applies for levels 1 - 17, Kana Blitz, Kanji Blitz, and Customize Your Own Levels. Fixed a bug where leaving a level while having items currently active such as Slow Enemies would result in not being able to activate any items again. Fixed a bug regarding the Romaji Snap Match input system where the text in the input field box would not correctly update or reset when typing a correct letter.
