  Just a quick note to say that there's a new beta of the Reality Drift demo! This is a major update to the demo from last year, with two new missions and many improvements.To try the new version, make sure you switch to the beta branch via the demo's properties menu in Steam. If you have any problems or feedback, the best way to let us know is via our Discord server (link on the game page and in the demo), or by responding to this post.Note that the beta of the demo has not yet been fully translated into French and Ukrainian, but other languages should be working correctly.We expect the final version of the new demo to be fully ready in about a week or two.

• Feb 2026 Update! - 12 February 2026

  Hi dudes! We're still hard at work on the game, and we've also been demoing it at various events in the last few months. Most notably, we were at EGX last year, where we had the honour of meeting Hornet, from Hollow Knight: Silksong.If you're in Yorkshire, UK, this week the game is available to play at the Yorkshire Games Festival in Bradford. This is the full version of the game as it stands right now, which includes many new elements and mission types. Technically you could play through the entire game from start to finish, although you'd have to be there a long time to do that!We've been working on new designs for the roguelike deckbuilding cards, and we're about to start work on a new trailer - keep an eye out for that! • Roguelike deckbuilding mode! - 7 April 2025

  We've been hard at work on Reality Drift, and we have a new mission type to show you! For a long time we wanted to incorporate some kind of roguelike deckbuilding into the game, but couldn't figure out how to make it work. Well, now we've figured it out! In some missions, the player starts with a deck of cards, each of which has an effect while drawn. Two or three cards (depending on the mission) are drawn at the start of each track, and are discarded at the end of the track. Some cards make temporary or permanent changes to your stats, while some have conditional effects, such as "For every 5 seconds driving offroad, gain +5 GRIP". We've been testing this new mode, and it works really well - the next step is to add more cards, and work on making sure the game is balanced. • Reality Drift is coming to Cambridge and Hastings! - 28 November 2024

  We're going to be demoing Reality Drift at two upcoming events in the UK! Saturday 7th December 2024: We'll be at the Family Gaming Night at the Centre for Computing History in Cambridge. Book in advance at computinghistory.org.uk 24th/25th January 2025: We'll be at the Hastings Games Fest - get tickets here Meanwhile we're making progress on the game - if you want to see what we're doing but can't come to one of those events, you can get updates via Bluesky.

• We demoed Reality Drift at the Portsmouth Games Fest! - 1 October 2024

  Shortly after launching our Steam page, we let members of the public play the game at the Portsmouth Games Fest. We had a wide range of people trying the game, including the very special guest you can see above! The response from players was great, and we got a ton of signups to our mailing list. Here are a few comments from kids who played the game: "That is honestly amazing" "That's so many cats!" "It's actually a really good game" We only wish we'd written down more of the comments, as there were many more like this! We're currently looking into attending the Hastings Games Fest in January 2025, so check back soon for more news on that.
