Short description
It's June 2023 in Columbus, Ohio -- 10 years since Neal and Jack graduated, and 8 years since they last spoke. Follow two once-best friends' reluctant descent through classrooms and memories in Our Dirge, a game about growing up in a certain place & time, and making up for the time we lost.
About this game
The class reunion has ended. Old friends Neal and Jack , awkwardly reunited, take a late-night drive over to their old elementary school, shut down for summer break. For some reason, it's open. Our Dirge is a game made in RPGMaker MV. It's somewhere between a visual novel, adventure game, and walking simulator. It's about a lot of things. I guess it's mostly about being an adult. Characters Meander through hallways and make offhand comments from the perspective of Neal Lin . Following close behind you and chiming in is Jack Langel . Featuring... Miscellaneous conversations Dialogue choice & multiple endings Lotta walkin' around and checkin' stuff out Trying to figure out how to turn on the lights About 3 hours of all of that ^ And .... Goofy character animation Unique digitally painted backgrounds Cool soundtrack i did (it's got synthesizers...) Mid-aughts to early tens American pop culture garbage that is not worth remembering (No need to worry about getting a "bad ending" or making "bad decisions" -- everything is worthwhile.
