  Hey everyone,It's been a minute since the last FrogLog, so here are a few updates on the game's development.Summer seems to have arrived here in Iceland, and we've been using the unrelenting sunlight to work on a bunch of new features ☀️.One of the most prominent of these features is the map system; a UI that shows you the structure of your run before you commit to a path. Consisting of combat stages and reward rooms, you'll be able to see the layout of your run and plan your path accordingly, making strategic decisions when choosing where to go next and which rewards to seek.As a randomly generated system, the room order will vary each run.The vendors themselves tie into this, and we've been expanding on that front as well. This is the biggest update we've made to the game yet (we keep saying that, and we mean it every time) - nearly every system has been touched, and a lot of what you're about to play will feel different from last time.   Hey everyone,The last couple of weeks has been a particularly busy time at Aska Studios. We've been hard at work, keyboards clacking and headsets firmly attached for the upcoming public playtest, starting this Monday, the 27th of April. For that reason, we'll use this Froglog to give you a sneak peek into what's to come.It's safe to say the team has been cooking. The amount of bugs squashed and features added lately has definitely got us excited for everyone's reactions next week - the difference in gameplay will be substantial to say the least. As we teased in our playtest announcement last week, improvements will be apparent on all fronts; guns, visuals, enemies, levels, networking, UI/UX, some more to-the-core aspects of the moment-to-moment gameplay as well as meta progression.   Hey everyone,An open playtest for Gang of Frogs returns April 27th - May 3rd!We're super excited to showcase the changes we've made in the last few months, and there are some major ones. For those joining us for the first time, we're happy you're here for the ride! 🐸Major efforts have been made to ensure gunplay reaches closer to the standard we're aiming for (pun intended) - All guns have undergone VFX, audio, UI/UX and animation passes to level up the shooting experience. • Icelandic Developer Aska Studios Is Ready to Talk About Their Debut Title, Gang of Frogs - 28 July 2025

  “Frogs, Hippos, tadpoles, crabs,” this is just the start of what you can expect from Aska Studios’ first game, Gang of Frogs. Aska Studios is a studio out of Iceland that has been working on their debut title, Gang of Frogs, for the last two years. If you know me at all, you know that I have a deep love for Iceland, especially their gaming culture, so when the opportunity to talk to the team about the game came up, I just couldn’t pass on it. Gang of Frogs is a roguelike, shooter, deck-builder, and its art style is absolutely stunning.
