  Hello to the old and young fishers ! ! !I have a new small update on the way. Nothing crazy. I was originally going to post this on Halloween last year since the whole premise of this update was originally an enemy update. But I just got lazy with creating assets, so this update isn't ready yet. And Because no build is getting pushed yet, this will be my first Dev post. I feel like having a history of the game progress even if its not an update would be important to have. • Update 0.0.4: Pet Egg Requirements and Cherry - 5 July 2025

  Hello to all fishies and fishers!!!!I finally got the second part of the egg mechanic for the game done. It's still super early in its progress, so don't expect a super crazy thing with this. But for starters, this mechanic will introduce the actual requirements to start hatching pets. In the previous update it was just building the egg, but now we have requirements!! All levels in the game where you unlock a pet have this feature now and are also all unique. Take for example Mary, her egg requires you to have a few baby guppys within the tank, plus another requirement, to hatch.(Just figured out how to make gifs ;p)This will help with making each level feel unique, even though you're still doing the same thing on a surface level.   Welcome back to another update of my favorite game to code. Even though I tank forever to come out with update. I did just start a new job at the start of this year. I was not expecting it to drain my soul dry to the point I can't even work on anything outside. Hopefully it gets better but who knows. This will slow game dev progress by some. So instead of by-monthly it might be tri-monthly. As for the actual update, I didn't really add a whole lot, this is more of a small update.   Hello fishi people This is the first update for the game, post demo release. I hope this can be seen from the demo, if not welp. As for the update, this update is centered around upgrading the existing systems in the game. The biggest change people will notice is that we have a new fish tank! I've finally had the chance to upgrade the fish tank to look similar to the game cover one; Instead of having the old depressing fish tank of before. I do still need to work on updating the rest of the assets, but still is an achievement that I am proud off. I also introduced shaders into the game. I hope they don't take too big of a hit on the performance. Now that I think of it, I might add a toggle for the shaders just in case. But in the next update.
