Hello there! In today’s devlog, we want to focus our attention on the characters that Princess will encounter during her journey. We hope you enjoy the devlog! The main character, “Princess,” was based on one of my cats named “Zoe”, who shares the same friendly and calming nature. The face of the Persian cat is iconic and always looks sad. The closest friends and family of Princess are frogs. We find frogs to be amusing and iconic as animals featured in many international stories and fables. They are a bit clumsy, but helping them will allow you to progress through the game. And they have a quiet smile! These mechanical animals (along with many of the fully automated enemies) were the result of abandoned technology being left to survive or flourish on its own. 🐱 Hello there! 🐱 👀 In today’s devlog, we want to share our post-release thoughts. We hope you enjoy this deeper look into the journey so far. Before we started the development phase, we spent about six months in the ideation phase exploring concepts, visuals, and gameplay direction. After that, the game went through two full years of active development. One of the most challenging aspects was striking the right balance between puzzle and action gameplay. It took many iterations to make both elements feel cohesive and equally engaging. The most enjoyable moment was when the different pieces of the game, art, mechanics, story, and sound, finally came together seamlessly. On release day, we felt a mix of excitement and nervousness, knowing players would finally experience everything we had worked on.
