  • Dev Update: Ascendancy Preview 1 - 18 September 2026

Hello Commanders! Today we'd like to show you our WIP next faction, the Ascendancy. They are the product of a single rat who, through the power of Chroma, gains evolved intelligence and decides to ascend all of rat-kind.The themes of the faction are: Sneakiness: rats are weak, but their drill tunnels allow them to bypass enemy defences.Evolution: instead of producing special units through normal production structures, Ascendancy structures can evolve rats through Chroma, often by killing enemy units (or the smallest rats if no enemies are available)Swarm: Instead of factories they have drill tunnels, and all structures produce rats.Due to their nature the Ascendancy structures tend to be quite ramshackle, but well designed for the cramped conditions of their underground biome. We're hoping to have the first half of the campaign and faction ready by the end October. Thanks for reading!Ratt

Then their passive allows them to take control of one.ChromatechDeliveryman: Calls in a Special Delivery of trucks carrying zombies and commandos. Their passive buffs infantry move speed.Chemist: Sets an area to Gas Overwatch, calling in gas shells on any enemy daring to walk in it. Their new passive, Gassy, makes Boomers move extremely fast but leave behind gas clouds instead of explosions. In…

  • Tuning + Some Fixes - 19 June 2026

    - Increased the strength of super units in campaign missions that feature them, they're supposed to feel strong and recent changes had weakened them for the other modes, so bringing them in line with the original vision for the campaign. - Made Chromatech HQ produce units faster, and made their grunts a bit faster, to help with early game conquering. - Fixed a bug for Escalation mode where changed modifiers weren't properly being respected in map generation. - Changed Dimensional Beam's explosion to not damage HQs, to prevent cheesy HQ kills in Skirmish. - Changed the surrender UI logic in Global Domination to default to accepting the surrender, as that seems the more intuitive option. Thanks for the feedback and helping us debug and balance the game!

  • Adding Launch Options - 18 June 2026

Added launch options for DirectX 12 and Vulkan, as some people have reported crashes with both. Hopefully this gives everybody a launch option that works.

  • Update June 15 - 16 June 2026

    - Turned on multi threaded rendering to improve performance. This may impact stability, please let us know if any crashes show up after this patch - Added a randomize all option for player loadout for keyboard and mouse input - fixed bridges on the global domination hq map for ucf

  • Bug fixes - 12 June 2026

    - Fixed exp gain for squid and hulk controllable units - Made it so you can fast forward even if a fight is pure AI in global domination mode - Fixed Forced March passive giving an extra 100% move speed - Changed up progression and structure locking in campaign to avoid a situation where you don't have a structure that is used, but it isn't locked, leading to being unable to reset back to the default loadout

  • Dev Blog #1: Global Domination Mode - 5 June 2026

I probably should have been doing these throughout the EA process, we had some feedback from players that our Steam social game has been lacking. Sorry! Better late then never.I'm going to run you through what we've been cooking for the next update, what it is, how it works, and the high level mechanics.Basic InfoGlobal Domination is a lite 4X inspired by games such as the Total War series, or more specifically, Great War: Western Front. The intent is to add some high level strategy, escalation, variety and importance to individual fights in a way other modes cannot.(although if I'm being honest it is more 3X, it has the eXpand, eXploit, and a whole lotta eXterminate, but is lacking in the eXplore. Would be fun to add this in eventually)A game of Global Domination goes until you've knocked out all other team's HQs. After you knock out a team they'll join their conquerors, to make sure p…

  • 1.0 Incoming June 11th! - 21 May 2026

For those new to the frontlines, D.O.T. Defence seamlessly blends accessibility with tactical depth, removing complex micromanagement so players can focus on pure strategy. Designed for short bursts of chaotic fun, typical matches last between 5-10 minutes. Core features include: Turret Mayhem: Defend your regions—the beating heart of your economy—against relentless hordes trying to seize your resources. Mix, match and sell a variety of turrets based on incoming threats. Commander Fantasy (Macro Orders): Take command with broad-stroke macro controls. Utilise commander powers to evolve the battlefield, draw paths for your armies or let them autonomously capture crucial map points while you focus on the big picture. Diverse Game Modes: Go toe-to-toe with smart AI in classic Skirmish, hold the line in Wave Defence, or brave the roguelike Endless War mode featuring procedurally generated wa…

  • More Stability - 25 April 2026

Hopefully cleaning up the final crash bugs from the memory loading changes. Also we switched up to a different compression for the assets, which will make the size bigger on disk, but load faster.

  • Stability Patch - 25 April 2026

Last patch had some unexpected issues from the memory load changes. This should hopefully deal with all or at least most of the hangs/crashes. Sorry! Also some new victory screens.
