- GOG announce a last call for Telltale Games leaving on May 27th - 23 May 2019
The sad saga of Telltale’s fall is due one last tragic chapter. GOG have just announced that all of the defunct choose-your-own-adventure studio’s games will be de-listed next Monday, May 27th at 11am BST. That includes Telltale’s own games like Puzzle Agent, and all three seasons of Sam & Max adventures, as well as licensed games like The Wolf Among Us, Guardians Of The Galaxy, Batman, and the excellent Tales From The Borderlands. The last of which has already been removed from Steam, though publisher 2K Games are working to bring it (and it alone) back, as reported by Eurogamer . (more…)
- Telltale Games confirm huge layoffs and majority studio closure - 22 September 2018
Following yesterday’s initial reports that Telltale Games were effectively shutting down, the studio behind licensed story ’em ups including The Walking Dead and Batman: The Enemy Within have confirmed the bad news. All but 25 Telltale employees have been let go (that’s 250-ish people gone, former members report), cut down to a skeleton crew to “fulfil the company’s obligations to its board and partners.” The studio say they’ve had “a year marked by insurmountable challenges.” Telltale haven’t yet confirmed quite what will happen to their past, present, and future games, saying they’ll talk about their portfolio “in the coming weeks”, but I wouldn’t expect much more from them. What a sorry mess. (more…)

- Puzzle Agent on US PSN next week - 15 April 2011
Puzzle Agent arrives on the US PlayStation Store on 19th April priced at $10, developer Telltale Games has announced. It's been a long wait for Sony patrons following the quirky puzzler's initial June 2010 PC launch, but it's well worth investigating Eurogamer's Kristan Reed awarded it a sturdy 8/10 . Telltale wouldn't lock down a European date, but you shouldn't have too long to wait. A post on the developer's blog promised an announcement was due soon. As revealed earlier this year , a sequel is also in the works with a PC release planned for later this Spring. Video:
- Puzzle Agent 2, more Hector incoming - 18 February 2011
A sequel to 2010's Puzzle Agent is in the works, developer Telltale Games has announced. According to IGN , the follow-up sees Agent Tether return to America's snow-bound Mid-West to solve more Professor Layton-esque riddles. It will be available this summer on PC, PlayStation 3 and iOS devices. That's fine by us - the original scored a sturdy 8/10 from Eurogamer. "With sharp writing paired with a charming if amateurish cast, Puzzle Agent's appeal is rough-hewn, but improbably cohesive," wrote Kristan Reed. And that's not all Telltale has in the oven. As if this, The Walking Dead , King's Quest , Jurassic Park, Fables and Back to the Future weren't enough, the industrious studio has also added one further title to its slate. It's teaming up with indie mob Straandlooper to bring its ace iPhone point and click adventure Hector: Badge of Carnage to PC, Mac and iPad. The first episode will…

- Space Wolves, Daffy Duck, And Coraline Have Graham Annable In Common - 7 July 2010
The man behind the look of Telltale Game's twisted Puzzle Agent further explores the experiences that made him the delightfully twisted creator he is today, in part two of Graham Annable in His Own Words . In part one of this Telltale-produced Graham Annable biopic , the artist discussed his early years with LucasArts, working on games like Secret of Monkey Island, Full Throttle, and Star Wars: Obi-Wan. Now we can add Porky Pig and Daffy Duck, storyboarding Neil Gaiman's Coraline, and growing up in Northern Ontario to the list of experiences that ultimately led to Annable creating the look and feel of the gnome-riddled, Fargo-esque Nelson Tethers: Puzzle Agent. Puzzle Agent is out now for PC and Mac and will be coming out later this month for WiiWare, iPad, and iPhone.
