Our development team has released the v1.02 update in preparation for Steam Next Fest. Production Story Hello! This is Shading Box! Our project, Pocket Legend, has been in development for nearly three years now, and we thought we’d share our journey with you, and tell you a little bit about us! We’re a fully remote team of three: myself (the founder), my wife, and our one employee. When we first started, Pocket Legend looked very different. Originally, it was an inventory merchant game where you sold items to heroes, as shown in this early screenshot: To make the game more engaging, we added a draw system and turn-based combat, inspired by our love for Slay the Spire. This led us to the current gameplay style you see today: Fun Fact: The original main character, Carrie, is now an NPC who runs the shop in the current version!
