From now on, you can collect Steam Trading Cards for playing Men of War: Red Tide - there is a set of eight, all stylized as WWII-era Soviet propaganda posters: When you gather a full set of cards, you unlock a profile background, emoticons and progress through a series of badges of increasing military honors, starting with the Coastal Red Army Soldier, through to a Guards Captain. And if you're lucky (or persistent) enough to collect a set of the rare "foil" variants of the trading cards, you will be awarded the Hero of the Red Banner award! - Men of War II Multiplayer Tech Test - Jump Into the Action NOW! - 23 March 2023
Announced during the Future Games Show: Spring Showcase, the multiplayer tech test is the first time Men of War II is publicly playable and will run until Monday, March 27 (10 am PDT / 1 pm EDT / 5 pm UTC). The test features four multiplayer modes (of seven that will feature in the full game) and five varied maps, in addition to a set of nine single player tutorial missions that will take you from the basics through to advanced gameplay mechanics and systems. Enlisting in the tech test is simple; you just need to head over to the Men of War II Steam store page where you will have the option to ‘Request Access’ for a Men of War II Playtest - doing so will grant instant access to "Men of War II Playtest" in your Steam Library. It’s time to own Men Of War. I’ve banged on and on about this for years. I am certain that there are thousands of you who would get a massive kick out of this game who haven’t touched it yet. Hell, Kieron and Quinns haven’t played it yet, largely on the basis that it’s a World War II game. That shouldn’t stop anyone. Men Of War is a brilliant, dynamic, inventive, compelling, challenging, intelligent RTS with a thousand features hidden under its hat (which can be shot off, and then picked up and put back on your head). The voice acting is terrible , the tank battles are scintillating. It’s now £3.24 on Steam . The slightly less entertaining sequel is bundled with it for £7.49. Really, just get it, play it. This is worth it for the second level of the original game alone.
