  Hey everyone, Just a quick follow-up to my last post \: Beyond Reality is now officially Free to Play. As I mentioned earlier, this change was made because I unfortunately lost access to the project files, which means I’m no longer able to update or patch the game. Given that, I didn’t feel comfortable continuing to charge for something I can’t support properly. I want to say again how much I appreciate all the love and support this game has received. This was the first game I ever published, putting it out there was a huge step for me, and seeing people play it, talk about it, and even recommend it has meant more than I can explain.   Hey everyone,I just wanted to give you all a quick update about \: Beyond Reality.I’ve submitted the request to Steam to make the game free to play. That change should go live in the next few days, once it’s been processed. I’ll post a quick update here once it’s official.Now, I want to take a moment to speak directly to those of you who bought the game. This decision wasn’t made lightly, The truth is, I lost the source files after a full PC reset, and despite having backups, they were either corrupted or from an earlier, incomplete version of the game. Without access to the final build, I’m no longer able to update or fix anything in the game.Because of that, I don’t feel right continuing to charge for something I can’t support anymore, but I also worried a lot about how this change might feel to those of you who did pay for it. • Hot Fix #4 - 9 November 2024

  **Can pick up placed glow sticks** Players will now be able to pick up the glow sticks that they have placed. **Fixed Tape 4 entity** The Tape 4 entity will now be more likely to move further away from the player while the player is hiding. **Fixed delay when entering bins in Tape 4** Fixed an issue when players tried to enter a bin while the entity is looking at the player causing a delay.

  **Adjusted Tape 2 entities audio** Changed the entities audio to be heard from a further distance. **Added a new marker system** Added a marker system to Tape 5. Players will now have red and green glowsticks to help them navigate the level. **New stamina bar** Added a stamina bar and removed the breathing from playing as soon as you start sprinting. The breathing audio will now only play when you are below 50% stamina.

  **Reduced Tape 1 difficulty** Changed the entities' 'transform' time from 6 seconds to 9 seconds, allowing players more time to create distance between themselves and the entity to break line of sight. **Fixed bug with Tape 4 entity** Fixed an issue where the entity in Tape 4 stays near you while you hide. This will help give players a safe window to come out of hiding. **CORRUPTED Tape Fixed** Fixed an issue where the CORRUPTED Tape would not count as completed after finishing the tape. **Added Discord Rich Presence** This will allow Discord to display what game you are playing under your activity, as well as show what level you are on.   Hey! So I have noticed a lot of players only getting 10-20 minutes into the game before they stop. This was also something I noticed in the Demo. I suspect this is something to do with Tape 1 maybe being a little bit too hard? • Tape 2 Patch - 23 October 2024

  I have noticed that Tape 2 has been unforgiving in ways that were not intended. Because of this, I have fixed the following: **The entity will continuously make noise while it’s behind you** Before, the entity would make noise periodically as soon as it spawns behind you. Now the entity will make continuous noise while behind you so that there is no confusion on if the entity is still there or not. **Reduced player's sight angle** This should allow for players to have a slight view of the entity before it attacks. Before, even having the entity slightly on screen would end with a game over. This patch allows a bit more of a forgiving sight radius so that you can notice the entity in the corner of your eye and look away. **Longer time before the entity attacks if it's not able to spawn** Having the entity attack if your back was against a wall was added to prevent people from completing…
