We recently received reports—which have now been verified—that certain mod on the Steam Workshop contain embedded malicious code designed to execute a "Official Steam Notice" phishing scam.This malware tampers with your local Steam client to trigger fake official warning/ban pop-ups. These pop-ups trick users into clicking a "Contact Support" button, directing them to phishing pages designed to steal account credentials, payment passwords, or even induce direct money transfers. Sadly, several players have already experienced account theft and financial loss as a result.As of 9:00 AM today (Sept 2, UTC+8), we have permanently removed the offending mod from the Steam Workshop and issued a permanent ban to the author.Additionally, the offending mod re-uploaded stolen content from existing mods and used illegitimate methods to artificially inflate its upvotes and comment engagement, pushing…

The previous patch contained a bug causing items to vanish from Display Cabinet. This issue has been resolved in this update. However, players who have already lost items will need to manually restore their save files from a backup created prior to the bug occurring. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused! Save Restoration Guide \On the Save Selection screen, click the Restore Backup button in the lower-right corner. Select the desired save slot (e.g., Save 3) and choose a backup dated before the bug occurred. I genuinely never thought I'd see the day where Escape From Tarkov would get a crossover with another game or IP. A hardcore shooter so focused on immersion and realism, it'd be a shock to see any other influences creep in - especially given that its fan base can be, erm, reactionary at times. However, today marks the launch of Tarkov's first collab, and despite it involving a game all about bloodthirsty rubber ducks, it makes all the sense in the world.
