Latest Steam announcements
- The Kickstarter for NLIR 2 is underway - 16 April 2025
We are currently trying to raise $200 on Kickstarter to get the sequel on Steam, and also gauge interest. The game will come with eight brand new and more mechanically complex islands, new enemies, many many MANY more explosions, and hopefully less annoying music. The first 50 backers can even reserve a copy of the game for $1. If you want to see this on Steam, pledge a dollar or five. Also, take some time to read about what I have planned for the first level on IndieDB. Later.
- Update 0.8 - Fun with Lava - 10 October 2024
Most importantly, an option has been added to the main menu to turn down the music. I know it isn't my forte, and I wanted to give you an option not to listen to it. I also fixed a major bug and now the player can pick up and eat/throw soldiers. More fun things. This took way more effort than I like to think about. Sorry it took so long. There is now a volcano in the game. The 9th level is now finished and out, and I highly encourage you all to load up the game, get into the sacrificial feeling of October, and throw some people into the molten rock. Go ahead, see what happens. I promise it will be fun. In the next update, I'm hoping to add another level, a few more languages, and maybe some new abilities for the Lizard. Anyway, that's it for the week. Go eat some people.
- Fixing my mistakes - 5 October 2024
Had to re-upload version 0.71 with the music turned back on. I usually turn it off when I'm working so I can make videos, and I forgot I had it off. Sorry about that.
- Build 0.71 - 5 October 2024
-Fixed a problem with the game going onto unfinished levels after the blue hole. -Made it easier to throw people straight down. -Made windmills more fun. -Preparing lava.
- Polishing the Ol' Lizard - 16 September 2024
The Steam launch of Nuclear Lizard Island Rampage is two weeks away (Oct. 1st) and I thought I would give you all a little update on things. Lots of things, enemy AI, damage balancing, building variety, art, have been improved over the last version, but the biggest bits for this update are as follows: -Mission structure and earning upgrades now make more sense. -Controller support has been added for the XB1 controller. -Music and the UI have been fixed and updated. -The lizard can now be electrocuted and generators can now be smashed up. You can also now break down trees and hurl them at people. Everyone at the last convention I went to was all about deforestation when they tested the game. So, that's a thing now. I especially enjoy the electrocution bit but to each their o.n. This coming week, I'm working on adding support for other languages and dotting the coasts with some wind turb…
