- Game Modes - 11 May 2026
In the General Settings you can now find a new section where you can apply game mode cost multiplier modifiers. You can modify the:Space Elevator Deliverable Cost MultiplierRecipe Parts Cost MultiplierPower Consumption MultiplierIn addition, more settings are now also attached to save files, so when you import a save file created since this patch, more settings will be imported as well. If you only ever work with the current save and do no importing or exporting, this won't be any different.Previously it was just the calculator setting, but now the connection style and grid settings as well as the new cost multipliers will also be attached to individual save files.I have also improved some translations as well as number localization. Number localization info is now also stored in the save file, so if you import a save that was created under a different number localization, the number wi…
- Translations & Number Localization - 24 April 2026
TranslationsTranslation into many other languages is now fully supported. The Modeler now supports all languages that Satisfactory does (and then some). Language selection should be seamless and automatic the next time you start the Modeler, however, if it has trouble detecting your system language, you will get a one time popup asking you to choose one. You can also manually change the language in the General Settings, or by pressing CTRL+L. NumbersNot only has text been localized, but numbers have as well. Number formatting for both display and parsing of entered text is now tied to the language set. For example, this means that 1,000,000.1 in English will now be 1.000.000,1 in German. DocumentationMore documentation has been added and can be found at https://satisfactorymodeler.github.io/docs/The documentation does not yet cover every nook and cranny of the modeler, but currently onl…
- New Manual Calculator - 23 January 2026
There is a new Experimental Manual Calculator that can be found under the General Settings. Like the Manual Calculator it does not take into account how splitters and mergers prefer to split/merge in game. So priority splitters/mergers are still useless as is the preference of normal splits/merges to be as even as possible. Also like the old version, this should always run quickly. However unlike the old Manual Calculator where the entered number defined the value, the experimental one uses the inputs as limit, like the Full Calculator. This means that you can no longer get numbers greater than what you entered if you enter too much and you can no longer get negative numbers. This should be a strict improvement over the old Manual Calculator and should eventually completely replace it. Let me know if you have any issues with it and also let me know if you are using it without issue. Link…
- 1.9 Blueprints and Automatic Clock Speed - 26 August 2025
1.9 Blueprints and Automatic Clock SpeedBlueprintsWhen choosing to place a machine, there is a new option to choose a blueprint. Blueprints are similar to outposts, except they have a limit and a calculated value associated with them and the contents of the blueprint can be duplicated. The value calculated for the blueprint will be how many copies of that blueprint you will need, which you can optionally set a limit on. In order to calculate a blueprint, you will need at least one limit on a machine inside the blueprint, so that it can define what a single copy of a blueprint is, and you will also need to either have a limit on the blueprint or hook the blueprint up to something outside of the blueprint that does have a limit, so that it can define how many copies of that blueprint are needed. You can right click on a blueprint or outpost for its menu where there is a new option to togg…
- Manual Calculator - 26 March 2025
Added the ability to have different calculation modes. None Calculator: This does no calculations, but feel free to enter numbers on machines for your own notes. Manual Calculator: A new calculator mode that does not take into account how splitter/merger or priority splitter/mergers prefer to split. Priority splitters and mergers are useless in this mode. For ambiguous splits/merges, you must define it with values entered into machines, thus requiring more info entered than in Full mode. Like Full mode, this ensures that all inputs and outputs for a given machine are in the correct ratios and the values on the conveyors add up to their connected inputs and outputs. However if you enter more values than needed, it can create conflicting definitions, in which case extras will be ignored. Which ones are ignored is arbitrary and may spontaneously change, so don’t use conflicting values. Thi…
- Improved Steam Cloud Integration - 25 February 2025
Improved the steam cloud integration. Previously it was possible to accidentally overwrite and lose data. Added three new settings that are all on by default. Auto-Import from cloud: When starting the app this will auto import the steam cloud save. This can now be turned off. Prompt on change: When auto-importing, if the steam cloud save is different than the local save, it will prompt before overwriting the local save. This can be turned off to always overwrite. Auto-Export to cloud: When closing the app, saving, or autosaving, it will export the save to the cloud. This can now be turned off. The cloud save can also be manually imported from the import menu. When importing the cloud save, either manually from the import menu or automatically on app startup, you can press CTRL+Z or undo button in the menu to undo the cloud save import and go back to the local save.
- Auto Saving & Space Elevator Phases - 11 February 2025
Auto-Save Feature: Previously the Modeler only saved on app exit (or CTRL+S). This could result in loss of data if the app was killed or power was lost. Now the app auto saves every 5 minutes. In addition it creates backups every time it saves. The auto save feature can be toggled off in the settings menu if desired. In addition the save interval and the max number of saved backups can be adjusted in the settings. When using the import button, it now asks if you want to do a regular import or import a backup save. Steam Cloud Sync: The writing of the save file is now more robust and the possibility of corruption while saving has been eliminated in cases where bad things happen during the writing of the file (like loss of power). Previously it was possible for Steam Cloud Sync to read/write while the modeler was reading/writing, possibly resulting in a corrupt file and total loss of save…
- 1.6.0 - The OCD Update - 21 January 2025
Input/Output Reordering: For machines with multiple inputs or outputs, just drag the input or output you want to move, to the location you want to move it to, to reorder that input or output. Simple as that. No longer will you have to have your connections crossed because the inputs or outputs are in the wrong order. When reordering the inputs or outputs of an outpost, the outside and inside orders will always match, otherwise it could get quite confusing as to what matches with what if you have multiple of the same part type. You can even reorder the order of Priority Splitters/Mergers/Splurgers, however since this can get quite confusing, a box is drawn around these inputs/outputs when they are reordered to let you know that the bottom one is now high priority and the top is low priority. Connection Styles: In addition to the curves, you can now change connections to be either direct…
- Storage Containers - 4 January 2025
You can now build storage containers. You can set the icon to regular, industrial, fluid buffer, or industrial fluid buffer. You can also set the fullness of the container. A full container can allow unlimited output, but the input cannot be greater than the output. An empty container can allow unlimited input, but the output cannot be greater than the input. A partially full container can allow unlimited input or output. Input = Output locks the two to always being equal. This can also give improvements in calculations. When using partially full, the inputs and outputs are unlimited so they do not depend on each other. This allows them to be calculated completely independently if there are no other connections linking them. A full container means the inputs don't effect the outputs, so there could be improved calculations there. An empty container means the outputs don't effect the inp…
- Bug Fix for Window Off Screen - 30 November 2024
If the screen configuration changed since the last running of the app, the app remembers where it was on the screen and may try to display outside of the new screen bounds. Added a check at app startup to ensure it is visible on a screen.
- Miner Types, Node Purities, Parts per Minute, Defaults & More - 21 November 2024
Added the ability to toggle any machine to use parts per minute vs the number of machines. Parts per minute are in italics and number of machines are bolded. This effects both the entered limit and the displayed value. New "Machine Defaults" section in the settings allows you to toggle the default for placing new building of certain types. There is also an apply button to apply that default to certain sections of already placed machines, such as everything, current outpost, or selected. Added the ability to specify Miner types, Mk.1, Mk.2, and Mk.3. These choices are reflected when calculating values in the summary panel and for entered limits when not in parts per minute mode. Added the ability to set node purities for machines put on nodes with varying purities. They effect the calculations similar to changing machines. Added the ability to set the belt input type for the awesome sink…
- Summary Panel & Power Calculations - 2 November 2024
Summary Panel: New button in the bottom left of the main window brings up a summary panel. This summary panel has several different sections which you can customize. It also has a selector at the top to change what you are summarizing, such as everything, the current outpost, or just what is selected. There is even a button in the bottom right of the summary panel to pop it out into a new window if you want. Power: Shows a summary of the power created and used, including averages and max used and min produced, net power, and even power boosts from Alien Power Augmenters. Overclock: See the number of Power Shards and Somersloops needed. This rounds the number of machines up when calculating. Output: See how many parts you are outputting. You can customize this to show Unused outputs (outputs that are highlighted in green). Used outputs (outputs that go to another machine that is not in y…
- Fixed Graphical Glitches with Popups - 11 October 2024
Wrote custom popup handling code instead of using built in popups as a small subset of users were experiencing extreme graphical glitches that appeared to be related to popups. Hopefully this fixes those issues. Most users will probably not notice any change.
- Multi Selection & Machine Titles - 5 October 2024
Satisfactory Modeler now has the ability to select/multi-select machines. Click a machine or right click drag a box around machines to select them. You can then move the selected machines as a group, delete them, cut or copy them, and paste copies of them. Move machines into or out of outposts by cutting and pasting. Standard keybinds for cut, copy, paste, select all, and delete. Outposts and machines can now have titles added to them to help with organization. You can even embed part icons in the title by wrapping the full part name in double colons like this: "60::Modular Frame:: Factory"
- Panning and Zooming - 22 September 2024
You can now pan around and zoom in and out. Use the scroll wheel to zoom and drag the background to pan. Enjoy infinite room to build, but don't forget to use outposts for organization. You can also scale the UI from the settings menu. A quick start guide with basic info on how to use the app can be found in the menu help section.
