- Dev Diary - Shop Customization - 29 July 2025
Hey everyone! Most of the last week's work was about implementing a customization system that allows painting the floor and walls 🎨With that feature it's possible to make the shop unique and design it more to your personal tasteAlso, it can be useful for zoning different sections, like in the screenshots where greens, snacks and dairy are separated with different colorsCurrently it's mostly about colors, but I'll consider adding more of a variety of textures later in the developmentWhat do you think about this feature? Are there some colors / materials you would like to see?
- Dev Diary - Creating Clothing Shop - 23 July 2025
Hey everyone!Last week, I added a whole new category to the game - Clothes🧵You'll be able to open a clothing shop, place mannequins, and focus on customers who love fashionđź‘’Or, you can add a clothing section to your general store to broaden your target audience đź›’In addition, some products can now also act as decorations ✨All shelves with clothing are considered decorative, but many other items are too - like bread, fruit, a TV, and moreThis change is meant to reflect how real shops strategically place attractive items to encourage more shoppingI hope this adds more depth to your shop layouts! What other types of content should I add to the game? Or do you have ideas for more clothing items?Let me know here, on Steam Discussions, or on Discord! đź’
- Dev Diary - Products Expiration - 14 July 2025
Hey everyone! This week, I’ve been working on a new gameplay mechanic: product expirationNow, each product has a chance to expire at the end of the day, right before your shop closesThe percentage of expired items depends on what’s left unsold on the shelves. So the more you manage to sell, the less you’ll lose!Expired products are automatically restocked at the regular wholesale price, so you won’t be left with empty shelvesAt the end of each day, you’ll see a summary of what went badFor example, here 2 cheeses and 3 bananas expired:This system is designed to make shop expansion more strategic. Rather than filling your store with every product, it encourages you to make smart decisions about what you’re selling and whereIt also adds a layer of planning to your shop layout, like placing fast-expiring items in high-traffic areas to reduce wasteWhat do you think about this feature?

Hey everyone, I’ve registered the game for Steam Next Fest this June! In preparation, I’ll be updating the demo to make sure it’s in the best shape possible. Here are some of the things I’ll be adding: - Events and effects that I described in more detail in this post - Balance tweaks to improve the overall experience - Visual and UI updates for a better look and feel - Performance optimizations to make everything run better - More gameplay features? - Rebranding - Local Supermarket Tycoon - 26 March 2025
Hi all! I've decided to give the game a new name. From now on, "Little Supermarket Tycoon" will be called "Local Supermarket Tycoon" The change isn't too big, but it's important to me because I want this game to grow with lots of content and new features. The word "Little" made it seem like the game was quite simple, which isn't what I want it to be What do you think of the change? What do you like better, the new name or the old one?
- Dev Diary - Events and Effects - 23 March 2025
Hello there! This Dev Diary is about the next planned Demo Update 1.4 It's still early in development, and I would love to hear your feedback! Events and Effects The core idea of the update is Events and Effects This new mechanic will introduce random events that temporarily impact gameplay and balance. Every few days, something unexpected will happen in your shop, creating a challenge (or opportunity) that you’ll need to adapt to Example Event: Thief! 🕵️‍♂️ A sneaky thief is operating near your store, stealing random products at the end of each day. You’ll need to restock those products, costing you extra money. To minimize the damage, selling as much as possible during the day is your best bet! Other event ideas I have Supplier Discount 💸 – Get special price cuts for a limited time Road Maintenance 🚧 – Roadworks in front of your shop reduce customer traffic City Festival 🎉 – More…

- Major Demo Update 1.2 - 6 March 2025
Hi everyone! The new demo update is finally here, and it's a major one! It introduces new gameplay features that make the experience deeper and more interesting. Let’s break down the core features added: Price Regulation A new menu allows you to manually adjust prices for each product. Lower prices attract more customers and increase the chance of impulse sales, while higher prices do the opposite Find the best strategy to optimize your pricing for maximum profit Decorations Decorations attract more customers to your shop and increase impulse sales within their range. It's important to place them strategically to cover as many tiles as possible Town Generation The demo town consists of four customer categories and a population of 300 people. You can randomize the percentage of people in each category, which will directly impact product demand in your shop Balance Rework Customers now ha…
- 🎉 Over 1,000 Wishlists! Thank You! - 10 January 2025
Hi everyone! I’m thrilled to share that the game has now reached over 1,000 wishlists! A huge thank you to all of you for playing the demo, sharing your feedback, and adding the game to your wishlists. Your support means so much, and it’s great to see your feedback and ideas for the game. I’m continuing to work on the full version and hope you’ll enjoy it when it’s ready!
- Demo Update, Version 1.1 - 1 December 2024
Hey everyone! The first demo update is live! This update focuses on improving balance and making the shop economy more engaging to manage. It also includes many minor quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes. New expenses Previously, the only expense in the game was restocking products. Now, you'll also need to pay salaries for cashiers and rent for your acquired shop tiles. Additionally, I've rebalanced shelf and cash desk prices to account for these new expenses. Loans Loans have been added to the game! If you’re at risk of bankruptcy or want to expand but lack the funds, you can take out a loan and repay it later. You'll only need to pay daily interest, and you can repay the loan itself whenever you’re ready. Bugfixes and improvements Many players reported issues with widescreen resolutions. I’ve worked to address this, and I hope the new version makes the game more comfortable to…
- What's next after the demo? - 18 November 2024
Hello, and thank you to everyone who has tried the demo! If you haven't tried it yet, you can download it from the game's store page! After gathering your feedback and analyzing it, I've planned a new update for the demo with features that will extend and rebalance the core gameplay. What to rebalance? Currently, the game has only Restock expenses, which makes it too simple for many players. This was a temporary decision for the demo to make it more accessible. However, after receiving feedback, it's clear that the demo lacks challenge, and this needs to be addressed as soon as possible. It's important to improve on that before adding more content. Daily Expenses To make the game more challenging and fun, daily expenses will be added - cashiers will require salaries and shop tiles will require maintenance payments. The initial store size with one cash desk will be easy to maintain, but…
