PATCH NOTES: 1.2.1 PLAYER Fixed Retro Bubsy's face looking like a cosmic horror on some platforms and lower end PCs when making certain expressions. Creepy… LEVELS Removed a floating checkpoint in Planet 2: Level 4 which led to an unfortunate death loop. No one, not even Bubsy, deserves that kind of fate. Adjusted tutorials in Planet 1: Level 1 to only show up in Normal or Black Hole mode. I guess even tutorials can have an identity crisis? BOSSES Fixed Baartholomeo's music sometimes not playing at all during the boss fights. Guy thinks he's a Khezu. CAMPAIGN Fixed the gauntlet level not unlocking after beating the normal levels as it used to. How did that get messed up?! The 100% completion reward image no longer shows up early sometimes. Patch NotesPLAYER Ensuring Bubsy's bowel movements are consistent and no longer occasionally cause softlocks when using the Scenic Pooper ability. Educating Bubsy that even bobcats need to obey the laws of physics to ensure you no longer float to the heavens if you use the Item Sniffer ability under certain conditions. Bubsy no longer points at the Golden Fleece when using the Item Sniffer ability, because quite frankly that's just usless ain't it? Tank mode is no longer OP (yes, really) by allowing you to infinitely glitch up walls. Telling Bubsy to keep it cool after pouncing enemies and not immediatelly clamber up subsequent walls like a madcat. The first trailer didn't look good but then, that only makes sense: it was a trailer for a Bubsy game, and Bubsy games aren't good. Bubsy 3D is notoriously one of the worst games ever made. DEMO PATCH NOTES Bubsy 3D's face is now capable of blinking. We have the technology. Bubsy 3D's texture no longers becomes nightmare fuel on low quality settings. Bubsy isn't as obsessed about how Woolie's smell anymore. Dropdown's in the settings don't have an existential crisis anymore. Removed language options until Bubsy learns how to speak anything other than English. Brought back framerate settings so you can ogle at Bubsy 120 times per second. The "Cutscene Skip" toggle no longer prevents you from entering the VR menu. No more excuses, get in the robot Bubsy! Added a climbable grid on both sides of the building at the end of "Heartfelt Village" so you don't regret your life choices more than usual. Polite society buried a lot of platformer mascots as we exited the 90s, but something Bubsy had over contemporaries like Gex and Croc ( it's a crock of something, alright! ) is that his games were astoundingly, memorably dreadful. Following the incredible reaction to the announcement and playable demo at Gamescom and PAX, we’re bringing an expanded demo to players as part of Steam Next Fest. In this expanded demo, players will have access to four levels in the campaign (tutorial + first three levels) AND be able to compete for best time on the speedrunning leaderboard. Use the wide variety of moves available and find new ways to shave seconds of your best times!The demo will also give players a taste of what the larger game has in store. Get a jump start in unlocking new abilities and outfits with earned blueprints and yarn balls in the levels and carry your progress to the full game when it releases in 2026!

Mascot platformers can be defined by their voice performers. Charles Martinet as Mario and Roger Craig Smith as Sonic, to name the two most prolific examples. From the first sound bites of Sean Chiplock as our wise-cracking feline hero, it was immediately clear that he was our Bubsy; The near-universally positive response since the announcement further punctuated that feeling.
