  New Enemies!Goat Massacre now introduces the Flying Demon Skull, Obelisk, and a new Goat Design!These enemies offer a variety of movement patterns, striking strategies, and offer a ton of new gameplay potential. We spent a lot of time making custom graphics for all of the enemies and spending time refining their AI behavior.New Goat DesignGoats now have a much more interesting AI design. Instead of just mindlessly running at you and attacking when they're close, they now offer a dash and use it to strategically attack you. Try your best to dodge!Player MovementWe cleaned up a lot of the glitchy movement the player was experiencing before, especially with downward slopes. Now the player moves a lot more smoothly, and feels a lot more polished.

• Movement / Post Processing Update! - 10 March 2026

  Movement!The old movement system felt sluggish and wasn't fitting for the fast-paced game that we're aiming for with Goat Massacre. So we stripped it completely and added an movement system that instantly adapts to input, as well as a completely new dash feature which allows the player to either vertically dash (with a space key press while airborne), or a directional dash which will dash in the direction the camera is facing (activated with a left shift key press while airborne).Post ProcessingMinor changes were made in the graphics including bloom and color corrections for a sharper appearance as well!

• Graphics / Balance Update! - 8 March 2026

  GraphicsWe've switched Goat Massacre to have much more stylized graphics. From the goats having a visual damage indicator to all new shaders on a new rendering system, this gives the game a more stunning appearance.BalancingWe've went through each item and individually tested, as well as balanced all of them. We wanted to aim for a very fast-paced experience, and we'll continue adding updates to support that.Bug FixesWe've ironed out a few bugs that have been spotted that enhance the overall polish of the game.

  The Inferno Update!Descend through the 9 circles of Dante's Inferno.ItemsGoat Massacre now has full roguelike items. We added 26 items with 4 different rarities: Mortal, Blessed, Divine, Godly.ClassesPlayer classes were added in this update. There's currently 3 to choose from: Hunter, The Perfected, and the Holy Knight. Each class offers a unique route to play the game.Boss fightThe boss fight was completely revamped and offers multiple stages. With increased difficulty, it's much more worthy of a final boss fight.New enemy typeThe first of several new enemies, Hellspitter, has been added to the depths of hell, lurking in Satan's inferno.Polish / BalanceA lot of polishing has been done in the environment, lighting, UI, music and SFX. The game has seen significant balance and increase in difficulty since the last update, as well as changes in mechanics like fall damage.

  Progression Update!This update adds the ability to unlock weapons through experience points gained by defeating Satan. Additionally, there was changes to the UI to reflect this change, as well as internal changes to the saving system.

• New Progress Bar Update! - 4 November 2024

  Progress Bar! I noticed a lot of users weren't sure about the portals and what it means when they are yellow or red, as well as how many portals there are left. I added a progress bar at the top while you're in the overworld, so it gives you insight as to how many more portals need to be closed before you can enter hell!
