Finishing Kaliningrad mapLast month, we showed the Kaliningrad map as a little teaser. We are currently adding the finishing touches to it, so everyone who plays it will feel cold to the bone while looking at infantry walking those snowy steps! Improving existing map: Hostomel Hostomel is one of the first maps we started working on. Check out the 4 options attached these are a few possibilities we came up with for personalizing your vehicles. Customization is for the players, so we really want to hear your thoughts: Would you like to customize your vehicles this way, or do you prefer a different approach? - June progress in Systemic War - 11 July 2026
Expanding grandstrategy layer with Military & Civilian factoriesDuring June, we expanded our production mechanics, such as the connection between civil and military factories. For example, each of these "strategic resources" for military production has its own production chain originating from the civil one. At the very bottom, you can see "institute" points which also correspond to these four resource colors, and they will be pinned to produced equipment for strong production bonuses. The brown points on the right are "factories" for specific armament groups-they "assemble" a given piece of equipment into a finished product.New Vehicles joining our hangarWe finished few of many upcoming vehicles models: T-84 Oplot \BTR-4 \M1064 mortar carrier \VBMR-L Serval Mistral \M6 Linebacker \Map optimization and adjustmentsOur environment team worked on optimization and visual upgrades of all map…
- Silicon Valley vs Suzhou: Designing the modern tech war in a Systemic War - 9 June 2026
While the Systemic WAR demo focused on Central and Eastern Europe, the full version of the game will cover the entire world between 2008 and 2025. The main actors during this period are the USA (a declining hegemon) and China (a rising superpower).Through a series of regular posts, we want to share our take on the US-China rivalry. In turn, we want you to let us know in the comments how we should capture this conflict in the game mechanics, specifically within the Grand Strategy layer. We are kicking things off with tech. While in 2008 China mostly copied Western solutions, by 2025 they have become an independent technological leader, forging a development path distinctly different from the American one. Below, we present a comparison between Silicon Valley and Suzhou, its Chinese counterpart. How do you think we should reflect China's technological leap in the game mechanics? Should the…

- New battlefields, little by little, take shape in Systemic War - 16 March 2026
In the XXI century conflict zone, understanding the battlefield is crucial to success. That’s why lately we’ve upgraded the method of bringing battlefields to life. By utilizing maps like OpenStreetMap already available in the public domain, we procedurally create fields of battle that our designers later enhance. Ultimately, this will give you even more opportunities to test your tactical skills.Stay tuned for more updates on our end!
- User interface in Systemic War is also getting a BIG overhaul - 13 March 2026
After we showed the new map design a few days ago, now’s the time for the overhauled user interface. As you can see, the UI in Systemic War has undergone significant changes. For example, the color scheme shifted from flat grey to graded celadon green. We also replaced small icons with large tiles.Changes go deeper. While selected elements now clearly distinguish themselves from the background, we reduced some contours and frames in numbers. Now, data crucial to the gameplay will be shown in the form of an infographic. Finally, the navigation in the main menu will now become simplified and more intuitive. As always, we’re super curious about your opinion. What do you think about these UI changes?
- New map design is here - 10 March 2026
OK, we wrote some time ago that the features present in the upcoming demo will slowly reveal themselves. Well, here’s the first one – our new Grand Strategy map. For now, the view is set only from a distance, but you can already see some huge changes. The new map design shows terrain features, and it has a more “military” color scheme. Finally, country borders are drawn with much more detail and smoothly complement the color design. We added the map from the previous demo to further accentuate the difference. More fresh stuff coming soon Well, what do you think about the new design?
- More countries, more possibilities - 9 March 2026
During recent discussions on our various forums, we have discovered that many of you have a thing or two to say about countries that should be selectable in Systemic War. So let’s play a little game — which countries would be the most interesting to play in the full version of the game? If you could choose, let’s say, at least 6 (random number). Let’s see which countries get the most votes. :) Attention: This is not a contest, so the outcome of the final vote will not be binding for our dev team (although it will most certainly be heard ;)).
- Weapons of mass production - 4 March 2026
We’re currently working on military production in Systemic War. As always, we're thrilled to hear your feedback. What feature would you add to military production that you find desperately lacking in the other strategic games on the market?
- Tanks or public sentiment? - 26 February 2026
Working on the economic and social aspects of the upcoming demo. Which brings us to the centuries-old question – where is the fine line between a military and a well-being state while the country is under external threat?
- Close Air Support incoming - 18 February 2026
Recently, we discussed the role of close air support during RTS battles in Systemic War. Out of curiosity, how would you like that aspect of the game to work? Do you have any favorite solutions from other titles?
- Working hard on the upgraded demo! - 11 February 2026
Four design meetings a week, combined with massive work done in the background – that’s our current tempo and we don’t plan to slow down anytime soon. The new Systemic War demo will be more than just an update, it will be a full-on upgrade! As we increase the number of features, you will quickly discover that the previous demo was simply a foretaste of things to come.Look out for more updates on our end soon.
- New game update! FAOR means responsibility - 27 January 2026
Aaaand here we have it – the first detail about the air power in the upcoming updated demo version. The acronym of the day is FAOR (Flight Area of Responsibility). One of the defensive missions you’ll be able to perform in Systemic War with your flight units is a Combat Air Patrol that uses the mentioned FAOR of each flight unit, instead of tying the formation to pre-arranged air zones.Details of the FAOR system are still being hammered out here at our studio, as we want the mechanics to be as ready for the new demo as possible!Join the discussion on our Discord channel: https://discord.gg/cBEsCEFcjCWishlist Systemic War on Steam: https://bit.ly/4bipeoJ
