TL:DR For gameplay changes: Broadly, our biggest focus with gameplay tweaks has been to address the feedback that The Janitor and The Facility are too challenging or complex for most new players. Huge thanks to everyone that picked the game up at launch, left a Steam review, or spread the spores! After our first weekend we had 700 reviews with a 91% positive rating. Fantastic news Shroomers! We're delighted to welcome you to a most special dev log, to share that SHROOM AND GLOOM HAS A RELEASE DATE! The story so far: Back in September 2024, after 3 months of development, we released an early playable prototype for Shroom and Gloom. The response was beyond anything we could have dreamed of. People loved what we had made. We were approached by a bunch of publishers, ultimately teamed up with Devolver Digital, and the game quickly went into full development.
