- Mars Clicker — v0.8.0: Art Shift & More - 23 September 2026
Hello explorers! 👋I've made a new version of the game after checking that the changes were stable. The biggest change is, of course, the art (which is not generated by AI). The main change is to the shaders to get that effect. As well as the artistic changes, I've also made lots of small improvements to the gameplay. Now, you can improve the Lunar Drops, and there are more statistics to check how well you are doing. ACE always keeps an eye on these things.⚠️Warning about regression⚠️If you spot any errors or unusual behaviour, I suggest using the hardcore reset or deleting your saved game and starting again from the beginning. If you make changes during the DEMO, you might lose your progress. Remember that these won't be included in the final version.A few things to bear in mind regarding the demo: The demo has no time limits, but it does have TIER (player level) limits. Once you reach…
- Mars Clicker | Artistic shift - 15 September 2026
Hi! I’d been thinking for a while about making a significant change to Mars Clicker, and with this latest update I think I’ve reached the point I really wanted to be at. The entire colour palette (AKA shaders) has been modified to achieve this Borderlands-style art effect; as a fan of the series, I couldn’t be happier with the result. I hope to have a version ready soon, with improvements to the controllers and this visual update. As always, I’ll be keeping an eye on the communities to answer any questions you may have!If you want to follow the progress: 👉 Wishlist Mars Clicker on Steam and get notified when the next update lands! Thanks for still being here,Adrián Corbalán.
- Mars Clicker — v0.7.0: Controller Support & New Languages - 28 August 2026
Hello again explorers! 👋Wow! It’s been a while since the last update, and although I said I wouldn’t update until launch day, I couldn’t help but hear your comments in the community, videos, etc… The jump to version 0.7 comes following a major refactoring to handle controllers – yes, controllers in an idle/clicker game. From now on, you’ll be able to play using your controller; for the time being, only Xbox controllers and similar devices should work, but I’ll be adding more compatibility options later on.Translations into many more languages (I’ll be preparing more translations for the final release). New statistics have been added to track your performance in earning crystals; certain stats still need refining ahead of the final release. Lunar drops now retain their status between games – a known bug that should now be fixed. Announce TrailerA new trailer which I hope will be a bit c…
- Mars Clicker — Update 0.6.3 - 10 July 2026
Hello again! 👋First of all, I’d like to thank you for the warm reception the demo has received – you lot are brilliant. I’ve spent the last few days making some essential changes to the menu navigation, which I hope to release soon. No major changes, but for those who decided to post in the community with errors, I’ve gone ahead and fixed those bugs.NewAdded various Mars Clicker input and output messages.New quality setting.ChangedFPS are now adjusted correctly.Various changes to button selection and detection.Analytics removed.Various text entries in multiple languages have been modified and fixed.Complete rework of the save system.Volume sliders now display percentages.FixedFPS are adjusted correctly. The 'Buy x1, x10, x100' button has been revised.
- Mars Clicker Demo is out! - 3 July 2026
Hello everyone! 👋I’m thrilled to announce that the Mars Clicker demo is now live! 🎉🕹️ Download the free demo: At last, you can play a small section of the game. I’ve decided to limit the demo to a single prestige level, you’ll be able to play the rest of the game without restriction, but you won’t be able to progress beyond Tier 5. A few things to bear in mind regarding the demo: This is an early build, so a few bugs or glitches may crop up. Saved games will not carry over to the final release. If any serious issues are detected in the demo, I’ll upload patches to resolve them, but the content will remain the same until the day of release.I don’t think there’s anything else to add, I hope you enjoy the Martian landscape, or that they let you get on with your work efficiently. Have fun! Adrian.
- Development Blog: Mars Clicker is taking shape! - 14 May 2026
Hello explorers! 👋Mars Clicker is taking shape — and there's big newsIt's been a while since the last devlog, but it hasn't been quiet time. A lot has changed under the hood — the core loop feels solid, content keeps growing, and this is the most mature the game has ever been since development started.DEMO — Limited access window, coming soon A time-limited demo is opening soon. This isn't a stripped-down teaser — it's a real slice of the game, designed to give you a genuine taste of what Mars Clicker actually is. Minimum estimated playtime to complete it: 4 hours.GAMEPLAY — First real look Dropping a gameplay clip — no cutscenes, no smoke and mirrors. What you see is what you get. Several hours of content are already in, and the game is feeling really good to play.RELEASE DATE — Being straight with you No date locked in yet, and I'd rather say that upfront than promise something I can…
- Development Blog: a new direction. - 12 October 2025
Hello explorers! 👋 Over the past few weeks, I’ve been experimenting a lot with Mars Clicker — testing what feels most fun and satisfying. And after many prototypes, I’ve decided to pivot the gameplay towards a more active, destructive experience.“The new direction draws inspiration from classic idle destruction games like Zombidle — giving every click a satisfying impact.”Instead of simply harvesting crystals, you’ll now be breaking through layers of Martian rock, dealing damage to massive crystal formations, and upgrading your colony to dig deeper and faster. Each hit contributes to your progress, and the deeper you go, the more powerful and mysterious the resources become — from minerals to dark matter. What’s Next?I’m rebuilding some systems to support this new combat-style loop — including damage values, particle effects, and layered destruction animations. Once I have everything sta…
- Development Blog: First contact. - 1 July 2025
Hello explorers!Mars Clicker is finally starting to take shape! What you see in the images below are the initial phase of the colony on Mars and a first approximation of what the final phase will be like, I keep making modifications every time I add new buildings so I don't think it's the final part. So far I have been working mainly with numbers, so the game will support big numbers and all those who are ready to bust the game will have a good time.I still have to confirm the UI, for now I have such a basic one that it's not even worth sharing but soon I will update and you will also see some gameplay, probably on the youtube channel.I've had time to refine the collection of crystals and their conversion to dark matter, although I'm still working on the meta-progress of the game, I'll give more details.
- Development Blog: Event Horizon Devlog - 13 February 2025
Hello explorers! This new adventure begins. I was really looking forward to update you on the development status of Mars Clicker. That's why I recently made a video for the youtube channel. Development has been delayed a bit by all the work it has taken to bring Space Battle to Nintendo Switch. Fortunately, everything is on track and we can only look forward.
