A Simple Ball Game's first patch (version 1.0.1) is now available.This patch mainly focuses on adjusting the difficulty of certain levels and the visibility of some structures on certain levels.PATCH NOTES - Rebalanced level difficulty for Simple 8, Difficult 3, Impossible 23, and Impossible 24. - Adjusted visuals on Simple Ex. 3, Difficult 2, Difficult 3, Impossible 12, and Impossible 13. - Fixed an issue where Outline and Opacity sliders would sometimes display values above 1.0 in the Gallery. - Fixed an issue where Impossible Difficulty (challenge mode) would sometimes unlock early. - Remove 45 fps from the FPS Limit options in Visual Settings. - Now displays Drip gained in the Pause Menu when suspending a Challenge/Rogue mode run.That's all for now.Stay Cozy. 🌒 🌆

I feel like it has been some time since my last update. Over the past few months, I have been busy polishing A Simple Ball Game for its release. And now... Here are a few of the more notable ones:New levels and level reworks: the total level count is up to 80, with around 10 new levels and around 30 reworks. There is still plenty of testing to be done, but I think the game is in a great state right now!Tons of new ball customizations: there are now over 60+ ways to customize your ball. Well, it's been a while since the first demo, from waaaay back in February. There are a ton of new updates, additions, and reworks to roll through! In this Demo, take on three different game modes: Challenge Mode, Rogue Mode, and Practice Mode. A total of 15 stages are playable. It's been a busy month, and it's going to get even busier as we get closer to the release of A Simple Ball Game's new Demo. Look forward to more details very soon! So, What's New? New Stages and plenty of Stage Reworks! I improved a ton of stages, from little tweaks to complete overhauls. In addition, I added 5 completely new stages, bringing to total stage count to 75! Of course, the Demo will included a lot of this new content, so everyone will get a chance to try it out! And there's still plenty more stage-related work to be done, Just Choose a Playstyle! Recently, I added a bunch of new settings to customize your ball rolling experience. In addition, I've now added a way to skip going through each setting one by one. Over the past month, A Simple Ball Game has gone through some important updates. The big three I'll be sharing today are stage reworks, controls optimizations, and the biggest one... a new visual style. Read on to learn more! The Big Updates A Revamped Visual Style Why change the style? (1) To create a unique timeless identity for A Simple Ball Game. I find games with a timeless visual style really memorable. If I look at a game from 2001, does it still hold up in 2025? If it does, that's a sign of a good visual style. If someone looks at A Simple Ball Game in 2050, will they think it still holds up? I want as many yeses as I can get. (2) To improve frame rates for users with older hardware. There's no getting around it, Unreal Engine 5 is really hard for older GPUs to run. The first demo for A Simple Ball Game is now over! Thank you to everyone for playing! It was an exciting time and I can’t wait to share more details about the next demo. POST-DEMO LEARNINGS (1) Some levels are hard in the wrong way. A Simple Ball Game is a hard game. However, I want its difficulty to ENCOURAGE creatively.
